In the meantime, here is a little something I wrote on the looooong car trip home on the topic of the spanky dance. In an email conversation I was having with Brad D. a couple of weeks ago now, he mentioned the “spankdance” in reference to the wiggling and squirming a spankee often does when receiving an intense and/or pleasurable spanking. When I think of the “spankdance” or spanky dance as I call it however, I think of the kind that the spankee may perform once she is allowed to stand up following a particularly stingy spanking.

Half bunny hop, half Irish jig, the variation of the dance I’ve been known to perform involves me bouncing around the room gripping my scorched bottom. I’m not entirely sure what purpose the dance serves other than entertainment for the spanker, but it seems to be an instinctive movement. I guess it’s similar to when you stub your toe and are compelled to speed limp in circles uttering colorful phrases. Neither actually alleviates the pain, but it’s psychologically soothing and provides a momentary distraction at the very least.

My spanky dance performances have so far been limited to when my boyfriend gives me a hard yet playful spanking with his heavy hand or one of his favorite stingy little paddles. I suppose this is in part because I’m comfortable enough around him to show this silly and vulnerable side of myself. It takes a lot of trust to place the fate of one’s bottom into another’s hands, but even more to be spanked, half naked, and hop around the room like a jumping bean … a toasted jumping bean.
