A reader wrote asking my opinion about tattoos visible on spankers on video. I wrote about tattoos on spankees before way back in 2008 but never on the subject of them appearing on tops.
I think tattoos are fairly commonplace in today’s society and so of course they are going to be commonly sported by bottoms and tops alike. Maybe I’m being presumptuous, but perhaps fetish models are even more likely to have tattoos than the general public.
With spankees, we’d get member comments about girls with tattoos on their lower back, thighs, or right on their bottom cheeks stating that they were distracting during the spanking. Any visible tattoos at all were pointed out as being unfitting on a model playing the role of a young, conservative girl. We don’t get quite as much feedback on this as we used to, probably for any number of reasons – changes in casting, acceptance, etc. But we have recently gotten some feedback about spankers’ tattoos.
There have not been too many, but we have received a few comments stating that large, visible tattoos on a spanker who is playing strict, conservative role is jarring. I can certainly understand this and I have noticed it myself. But as long as the role being acted out is compelling enough, a tattoo on the arm or leg can be easily overlooked. If the spanker’s role is a traditional strict mom or old-fashioned headmistress then full sleeves or face tattoos might be harder to ignore, however.
What is your opinion? Do they interfere with the scene or are they even a big deal these days?

I am not a fan of face tattoos on anyone. But any other visible place on the body is not distracting to me. But the hypocritical issue which COULD arise is that of the super strict, stuffy, or conservative authority figure sporting a sexually suggestive statement or anything anti law, racist, etc. People can and should express themselves as they see fit but if the tattoos are controversial to the assigned scene in the shoot then a cover up might be warranted in those situations.

Though I’m of the generation where tattoos were associated with sailors and circuses, I don’t care if people in spanking scenes have them. I don’t take PB scenes (or others) so seriously that they need to faithfully capture everything about character, period, etc. If it was an elaborate production that’s supposed to immerse the viewer in the setting, it would look like bad casting, but in spanking vids, I see adults engaged in role-playing. I don’t know any adult females who still get spanked at school, so why can’t a guy with tattoos on his face play a turn-of-the century English headmaster?

In junior high school I got paddled more than once by a math teacher who was an ex-biker and what we would today call a born again christian. The tats just made him look scarier. All the kids feared him the most.

Could not agree more with your comment about tops playing the role of mother or headmistress etc having tattoos. Although I am not keen on spankees having tattoos I find any reality in a scene is taken away by a strict female ( or male for that matter) having tattoes arms hands etc. The boarding school vid punished brats did recently seemed riduclous with the head teacher having a tattooed arm. Dont know about the USA but her in the UK I can assure you she would never have managed to get a job in a boarding school. Not only jarring but unreal.

While PERSONALLY I am not a fan of and do not truly understand the attraction of or anyone’s desire for “body art,” I am a most Liberal person myself and believe that ART belongs in the catagory of, “What floats your boat!” PERSONALLY I believe most tattoos make men look stupid, ignorant, and un-educated and ladies look cheap and desperate and a VERY pretty girl like yourself who gets one needs to have her daddy tattoo his hand print across her bare backside several thousand times with a bath brush chaser for the crime of putting a mustache on the Mona Lisa!
On the subject of tatted-up spankers in videos portraying themselves as ultra-religious conservatives; since those creatures are by their very evil natures pathological hypocrites, it actually lends credibility to the scene!

Tattoos are not really my thing, and they used to bother me on any bottom in a scene. But now, my opinion is more that they can be acceptable, especially given the reality of how many in the fetish world have them, IF they fit the scene. I was one of those who thought it looked odd to have an über strict mom or headmistress with a lot of visible tattoos, especially since they are so easily covered on a top. I’m not saying that someone shouldn’t have them, but if you have arm tattoos and you are playing a strict headmistress, why not wear long sleeves? Similarly, on a bottom, it doesn’t fit if the bottom is supposed to be a young teen, unless the tattoo is what earned her punishment. However, if the bottom is an adult of any sort, it’s perfectly fine. It’s all about fit.

As long as you asked… I am one hundred per cent AGAINST tattoos on people, be they male or female, spankee or top. Do the young people who get tattooed realize that the tattoos will be on them forever?
Other forms of youthful rebellion, such as bizarre hair styles or hair coloring, may be okay since eventually your hair will return to its normalcy. But tattoos are forever, and young folks need to remember that.

Anyone who gets that worked up over tattoos is ridiculous. It’s 2013, get over it already!! And to the person above who said pretty girls look cheap and tacky and men look stupid— you say that to your men in the military or the next doctor who saves your life that has them! So rude and ignorant to say!! To the person who said its a “young people” thing… No, it’s called some people think they’re sexy and look great! It isn’t a “rebellious” thing… It’s only rebellious if most people don’t have them but nowadays almost every one does! Oh, and its forever on your body!? omg no one knew that when they were getting tattooed!!! lmao. I’d rather have tattoos than a terrible attitude like some of these ignorant, shallow people.

While I fully respect an individual’s right of free expression—including the marking of one’s body with indelible ink—tattoos seem to convey an antiauthority image, especially on men. I agree that it’s jarring to see a man, pretending to be a school teacher for example, spank the daylights out of a naughty girl while sporting body artwork that may be more fitting on inmates and gang members. Tattooed men have every right to wear the latest demonic image or weapon’s spiral on their forearms or biceps, but don’t expect me to feel comfortable around them or believe they can masquerade as society’s moral standard bearer. Some may like the tattooed look, spiked hair, a stubble beard, or an open black leather vest. Such accoutrements may work in spanking themes depicting a power exchange between fetish devotees but seem out of place in disciplinary videos by Punished Brats.

I dislike tattoos on spankees it tends to make the spanking look less effective after all a tattoo is a more painful experience, with a naughty schoolgirl scenario it is quite absurd as it takes away her innocence…..
