Just a warning … this is one of my mega ramble info posts so be sure to grab a cup of coffee and a snack in preparation to read fully.
Thank you to everyone who has joined in on the brainstorming meeting for the Cause for Paws event! You have provided some wonderful suggestions. While unfortunately not all of them a feasible, they have helped guide me in a direction of what to do for this year’s charity drive. Let me give up a brief update (meeting minutes!) of what’s been decided and what’s still in the works.
1. Online donations – Thanks to a great tip from Chloe Elise, I’m looking into a method of receive online donations through Razoo. I just want to place a couple of calls on Monday to verify privacy (for myself and for donators) and also confirm the shelter can work well with this method of donating. I am also looking into Google Checkout which was recommended by Feline Fan. That might be another fantastic means of giving and receiving donations. I am going to dig into that option as well.
2. Snail Mail donations – As always, checks, money orders, and concealed cash donations can be sent directly to me via snail mail. Be sure to make the checks out to C.S.A. This is the organization we are raising funds for. The snail mail address to send to is:

3. Auction Items – Richard Windsor will be helping me with running online auctions to raise additional funds. I will be offering items of clothing and implements of my own up for auction via eBay. If there is anything specific from me that you’d like to see (spanking related or vanilla) go up for auction, send me an email or leave a comment. Richard and I will also be asking some of our spanking industry friends and brats to also contribute items if they choose. Again, please let us know what you might like to bid on.
4. Raffle Items – Anyone contributing $25 or more will be automatically entered into a raffle to receive donated prizes such as a 1 month membership (or free extension) to Punished Brats, a PB DVD, and a Cause for Paws t-shirt signed by many members of the PB cast (thanks for the idea Kelly!). Other raffle prizes are to be determined once we start coordinating with the other animal loving folks that wish to donate goods or services for the Cause. I already have a few readers here from my blog that have voiced an interest in donating items and we hope to have items from several of the girls from Punished Brats as well as others in the spanking community. I would like to draw names and do so on video in order to verify the random drawing. In order to protect everyone’s privacy, I will not read the full names aloud! Only the initials or screen name and the state / country. The winners will be contacted then privately via email. You will have to trust me on this one for the sake of everyone’s privacy that I hold to the nth degree. **Note** If you do not wish to be entered in the raffle because you do not wish to have anything sent to your address, please let me know. If snail mailing, include a little note stating this. If you are donating online, send me an email. Although all items will be shipped in a plain envelope/package with a normal return address and no mention of spanking, I totally respect your boundaries since all of you are so kind as to respect mine. 
5. Other options / requests – As Matt mentioned on the previous post, last year Lily Anna was kind enough to do a custom video of herself standing in the corner for 10 minutes following her C4P spanking in exchange for the $100 donation. We would both be open to doing similar brief videos or custom photos in return for contribution. Suggested donation in exchange for a short and feasible custom clip would be ones on par with Matt’s donation of $100. Please email me if you have a request you would like us to consider.
6. Sorry, no Calendar – While I love this idea, I am not able to work it out financially. I have researched costs involved in creating a custom calendar and the per unit price to have the calendar printed would be $8.98. Then shipping from the printer to me would be $5.67. Then I would need to ship the calendar from me to the end recipient and would estimate this would be another $5.67 … more if it’s international. It was suggested that a calendar go to everyone that donated $20 or more, but in doing so, that would mean basically nothing would be left to go to the Cause. Plus I have the fear of placing the order in bulk for the calendars, paying up front, and then not even being able to move enough calendars to make up the investment I’d put in. Just a bit risky.
7. The Video!! – The all important video. The first year I did a spank per dollar. I quickly realized that I had bitten off more than I could chew when I was overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity (or perhaps everyone’s desire to see my bottom clobbered). The second year Lily Anna and I came up with a tiered plan where our bottoms’ fates would be determined by the total raised – certain dollar amounts would mean a specific number of swats with various implements. This year I’m changing it up again and hope to make it just as fun but perhaps a little easier to film and potentially to involve others.
The spankings will be determined by time rather than number of swats. Eliminates that pesky need to count swats too!! We have a terrible time keeping track when either being the ones getting spanked or the ones spanking. LOL. Using a timer might be a little easier … although of course we’d have to keep an eye on the clock and knowing us, we’ll probably go over.
Similar to the swat/$ the first year, this will be time/$. The more donations that are raised, the more content we film. I know for certain that Lily Anna is in for filming with me. I am also sure that my hubby will be up for doing another filmed performance. And with any luck, I’ll be able to have other spanking friends contribute a few minutes of bottom warming to make a great compilation video. I can’t guarantee anything right now, but I am going to ask some of my fellow animal loving spanking enthusiasts if they’d be willing to literally put their bottoms on the line for the Cause.
Last year the grand total raised was a little over $3000 (including a few donations that came in after the event) and with the spanking Lily Anna and I did using the tiered approach, our video was 18 minutes long … about 15 of which was spanking action. Using that as a guideline, I’d like to offer that for every $200 raised, we will offer 1 full minute of spanking. As this will be a compilation video, it will feature spankings received by Lily Anna and myself and hopefully others too that are performed in a variety of ways. I know there are many different preferences out there and not all of them can be met simultaneously. This is the next best thing. There will be segments that start over clothing and segments that are right to the bare. Segments that are f/f and segments that are m/f. Segments that feature the hand and segments that feature a host of implements. Lots to enjoy in a video. But how much we have to offer and how much time we have to reach meet these variations will depend on you and the funds we can raise together.
I think it will be a fantastic and fun event as always. And most importantly of course, it’s for a great cause. Won’t you join in this year? Keep an eye out for future updates including how to donate online once I get that confirmed, for items that will be going up for auction, and for a list of spanking friends that are willing to participate in making this year’s thank you – spank us Cause for Paws video.

Miss Pixie you have done some well thought fantastic preparation as usual and there is no doubt in my mind this will be another notch combining your great business sense and community duty. The beloved pets have much better odds at healthy survival with you looking out for them.

It’s very sad there’s a need for this type of fundraiser. YES, we love spankings, YES, we love animals. What I DO NOT love is people purchasing, adopting animals and then neglecting their care. What’s especially sickening are those who buy exotic pets. I ADORE bengal tigers, mountain lions, panthers, etc. However, I would NOT bring one into my house to attempt to domesticate it. Same goes for alligators, eagles, komodo dragons…the list is endless but the point is some of these poor animals are not meant to cohabitate in the burbs’, ya know?!! Then the owners either release the animals outdoors somewhere to fend for themselves which presents a danger to them and those they encounter.
My rant is done. I need a stress relieving spanking ASAP!! LOL

What could be EXCEPTIONALLY funny/cute albeit very improbable is for one of the spankers at the conclusion of the video to hold one of the cats or dogs and place a small implement into its paws and guide it to deliver a final spank or two.

pixieliescious, you are an amazing grace. sent you a mail tonite, regarding the paws cause. i am still speachless at the great effort you put into this worthy project and am awestruck by the sums of funds you raise and donate wow wow wowity wow and meow on top.

Kelly – Thank you!!! Yes, it is very sad that there is a need for such a fundraiser and it breaks my heart to see the poor little animals when they come into the shelter in poor shape after being neglected or abused. And have you seen the commercials the ASPCA has been running lately? I cry every time! As for one of the cats or dogs playing the role or spanker in one of the videos, that might be a possibility. Regardless, I hope to include shots of our various animal companions in the video somehow. I know my beloved Peanut will be happy to be in it. She is a spoiled little attention hog.

April – I have thought about it quite a lot. I’ve been brainstorming, researching, and mulling over decisions as I fitfully try to sleep. I’m glad that we are making progress and that so many people are willing to join in for the cause in many ways. And big thanks to Richard for assisting me in figuring out how to make this work and for the equal effort he’s going to be putting into the event. Couldn’t do it without him!

ddon – errrmmm, cousin paul? Ok, well I am still not looking to do a calendar sale right now as this is a fundraiser and I do not wish to risk placing too much of a financial investment for a bulk order and then having to charge a fee that would be exceptional in order to cover the costs of printing and shipping (twice – once for the bulk order and then again for each calendar). I may consider creating 1 calendar and putting it out as an auction item.
As for sending via email, I wasn’t sure if that would be as fun or desirable. We can send a set of photos of our girls in a non-calendar format that can be enjoyed any time without all of those pesky dates hogging up the rest of the screen.
And no on is getting “punished” for cause for paws, but we are getting spanked.
Spanking can be fun too! All in how you look at it. A coach can make players run laps as punishment and then there are those that run for fun and recreation. This will be a recreational spanking.

Pixie my love, I have to disagree on the calender. I have paid up tp $20 for calender of old Tractors and motorcycles. I suspect that in bulk you may get a break. That being said I know you could easily move a 100 plus to your fans here. I also think they would happily pay whatever you wanted to charge with-in reason ofcourse. I think you underestimate your star power and the shear number of fans who love you!
