Time is flying as always – shoots, shore time, shpanking … errr spanking …. and more. Just as summer should be! But even as we just reach the peak of summer bliss, I received a reminder notice from the animal shelter about the annual fall fundraiser. Aaaack!! Fall??? It’s early this year and if I want to try to coordinate another Cause for Paws event to assist in sponsoring me in the fundraiser, I need to start organizing things now.
I was hoping that maybe you could help me brainstorm what to do this year. I have already contacted a few animal loving friends including Lily Anna and Juliet and they’ve agreed to pitch in as they can.
From Cause for Paws 2009 … What will 2010 bring?
I certainly plan on making another thanking-spanking video as we have done in past years, but we want to give back a little more to the individuals that are kind enough to donate to the Cause. Richard Windsor has been helping me come up with a few ideas already. The details have to be worked out yet and I certainly want your input as well.
- Much like other fundraisers, we thought we might offer raffle entries to those that donate – I’d do a recorded drawing of the winners and mail the prizes to the individuals. Of course if anyone doesn’t want to receive any form of correspondence or prize, that will always be honored!! Trust me. I value privacy immensely.
- Do it like the telethons and offer a private photoset or video to be sent via email for those that contribute a certain dollar amount. Kind of like the PBS totebag, but a lot more fun to look at.
- Any other ideas for ways to give back to those that choose to donate? Any prize ideas/requests if we opt to go that route?
Then there is the tricky issue regarding donations themselves. As you may recall from last year’s event, both my own P*yP*l account (I dare not say the name) and David Pierson’s were permanently shut down due to having been affiliated with this blog which is considered to be “obscene” for its spanking related content. So as much as I loved the ability to use their services in the past, that’s a definite no-go this year. Are there alternate services? Of course there is always good ol’ snail mail and possibly using the PB online DVD storefront, but I want to make this as easy as possible for all of you. P*yP*l was great as far as ease, convenience, and reliability, but what can you do.
So that’s it for now. I hope you’ll help in providing your feedback and figuring out ways to have another successful year for the sake of our furry friends.

I was just thinking about this but, with everything else on your plate at the moment, didn’t want to bring it up too soon. You probably recall from our correspondence that I’ve leaned toward offering a specially made DVD of some sort for sale to raise funds, but that in itself might not generate the same level of response as past straight-forward contributions (you can always count on my contribution regardless of what you offer). Also, as with giving prizes, you would incur costs that might detract from the donations total – or come out of your pocket. [Maybe a download of a video instead?] I’m fine with sending a snail-mail check, as you know, versus using “those whose name we dare not speak.” The animals are, after all, the intended beneficiaries.

Rob … yes, I certainly want to give Lucy’s idea of the secret auction a go too. I have gotten hung up with the P*yP*l / eB*y situation though. I would need a site that would be able to provide the valid and verified auctioning but that doesn’t have the PP affiliation. Any ideas?
As for the juggling, that’s on the filming agenda for the next shoot.
We are indeed going to work it into a story line. I sure hope that Eric doesn’t mind me breaking some of his belongings in my effort to be as realistic as possible.
^Mike – Sending out a few prizes that require mailing such as DVDs, clothing items, and spanking toys will mean a few dollars out of my personal pocket for shipping, but I’m happy to do that if it means generating donations for a great cause. I could not, though, afford to ship items to everyone that donated which is why I was thinking of trying the email route for photo sets. A protected download of photos or video would be even better. I’d only then need to email a link.

Lily Anna provided me a custom video for my donation last year. I think it is a great idea. You can have contribution levels: X dollars = custom photoset of ___ photos, XX dollars = custom clip of ___ minutes, etc.
Obviously that makes it a little more time consuming. I’m sure you’ll think of something good.
Or Pixie’s worst nightmare – one min corner time for every dollar raised! Could you imagine how long that would be!

Animals are my true “SWEET SPOT.” I think it’s a heart warming charity.
Why not hold a spanking contest between you and at least one other BRAT? Donors could place bets on the projected winner.Isn’t it possible to send the donation to the same address as PB Membership payment?
As for prize options…
1. Raffle winner gets a custom made PB tshirt (Queen Brat you ARE an artist)signed by the cast involved with the project
2. Dedicate the video to the winner if he/she is ok with recognition
3. Mail a signed implement used in the shoot to the winner unless postage is an issue
4. If the winner is from the area where PB films maybe a visit to the set could be arranged during a future shoot.

I just gave this a quick read, and while I don’t have a lot to offer by way of suggestions, I want you to know that my wife and I are actively involved in a cat rescue organization locally. And we have our hands full — of kittens that is. In April we took in a mother cat and her five kittens (on the day after they were born) and just got all five kittens adopted on Saturday. Then, on Monday, we took in four more. In all (we’ve been doing this for three years now), we’ve found homes for nearly 100 cats and kittens. So I share your passion about animal rescue and just wanted you to know that my wife and I are doing our best to ensure these lovely and fascinating creatures get good homes and have long, happy lives. Keep up the good work.

With all of the photos you do how about a calendar? I don’t mean a printed one, but design it electronically and throw it on a disk. I don’t know about anyone else but I wouldn’t mind seeing one of my favorite PB girls on a calendar for each month. For that matter it doesn’t even need to be a spanking calendar just the cute girls in sexy poses. Unit cost including mailing would probably be under 3 bucks and you could say a minimum donation of $20 or more. This way instead of having someone getting a “chance” everyone could get something that would go with them.

For what it’s worth, you couldn’t pay me enough to have anything to do with P**P** (it’s PooPoo to me). Might be convenient, but just not worth the hassle.
Perhaps a site that just takes “payments” from credit cards / gift cards? Of course, checks or Postal Money Orders require time to get to you, so instant gratification suffers. But still might be do-able with the understanding that two weeks (for example) would elapse before winners could be announced.
So glad to see you out of the hospital and feeling better. You looked rather drawn in the videos that (I assume) were shot shortly before your initial confinement.

I don’t really understand what you need the money for but the two pictures of microwaveable critters at the top look delicious! I have found that dog and cat have rather a high protein taste as does bear and (I’ve been told) American. As with many less than palatable dishes hunger is the best seasoning and the secrets in the sauce and spices. I’m not sure why you prefer to preserve the potential python poop, but I would gladly donate for even an on-line spanking calendar (Right on TC!).
As far as brainstorming, perhaps an on-line spanking contest with gradually more severe implements being used. Kind of an iron butt competition between the superstars of spanking and we can all bet on who will be the winner. Hey, not all of my ideas are good ones…

I’ve never really tried wool as a food source but I suppose if I was starving the extra salt, skin particles and microbes from being worn for two weeks in summer would probably add something to the nutritional value. And of course I certainly hope that we will be successful in helping the shelter as we have been in previous years. They are doing a lot of great work and they have a special place in my heart not only because I adopted my two fur babies from there and they were able to help me recently on an emergency basis when my beloved cat Stink / Peanut sustained a spinal cord injury late on a Sunday, but they have done so much with a free spay and neuter program, wildlife rehab, low cost vet services, and a pet food pantry for those that are struggling to pay for their food babies’ care. All that on top of the adoption center for critters ranging from cats and dogs to chickens and pot bellied pigs!

tigerbut’s a few bricks shy of a load. pythons don’t poop in a way that you would think. they leave greenish-yellow cakes of soild urine. these have almost no odor. my 14 footer left less than palm sized ones. i took them out of the bedding by hand.
how about ccbill for donations?? or a local bank setting up an account to recieve credit card payments.

Many great ideas! Some feasible, some not so much. But no matter what, I’m sure that this will be a fun event and hopefully it will do well for the animals.
Since the details haven’t been worked out just yet, I can’t say for sure what we’ll do. Lily Anna and Juliet both kindly agreed to help in some way as they can to the cause, but I am not certain just yet about participation in the video itself. The details still have to be worked out, but both lovely girls have agreed to help. Hopefully in doing the video or perhaps in providing an item for auction or as a prize. We shall see how things shake out after we’ve brainstormed. I should know a bit more after we three are together for the next PB shoot.

here’s a thought, or a couple lol
1. do what you did last year and set up a chart that states for this amount we will get this many swats with this implement (but maybe with a little more spice like bare bottom or whoever raised the most gets to give first).
2. the three of you (or however many) make a special vid involving animals to promote the fundraiser (like someone neglects their pet and pays the price over a knee or someone adopts a pet and doesn’t think about the real cost to provide for it). At the end of the vid add some pics of the pets who will benefit from the event (who isn’t drawn in by an adorable face asking for someone to help them?)
kinda crazy ideas but I think they might do the tick (with others from above of course)

So many causes have walks or runs where you collect sponsorships from people of so much money per mile. Why not do the same thing with spanking. Take a hard spanking and have people donate so much per smack. No wimpy stuff, we need your best effort. Hard ones with a good strap or paddle. The more you take the more money you raise for the animals. That should be enough incentive for you to take an allstar thrashing. Video it and that can be the prize. Anyone who gives a certain amount gets a DVD.

I certainly wish my shelter had a volunteer as dedicated as you! Perhaps I should suggest this as a possible fundraiser at one of our next meetings? I’m not sure what my boss (or co-workers) would think
Anyway, as to the original topic, I think your usual video is just perfect. But if you wanted to do more, perhaps an autographed DVD featuring all of the cause for paws videos plus a bonus video or collection of photos? Or a free one month subscription to PB at a certain giving level or for a few winners – easy, no mailing involved, and a way to get potential new customers for PB.

Actually my earlier idea for a calendar was flawed in one respect, I thought about a disk with an electronic calendar. Who needs the disk? You could do an electronic calendar and just allow it to be downloaded like clips are. No mailing, no burning one upload and a code for the download and all said and done. Well I sent you snail mail with my donation last time, and later I got a letter from them thanking me for my donation, so I know you gave it to the right place, so snail mail can work for me too if you can’t find another option.
But I do plan to keep my promise to give you some again this year, after all, while I don’t obsess with animals I love my dear sweet Candy(My dog) and it is from animal centers that we get her shots and so on, so I know animal shelters need supporting. Plus I hear with tough economic times more people have to give up their pets, which means more work and needs for animal shelters.

The annual Cause for Paws spanking is a nice tradition, kind of like a birthday spanking.

Might I suggest a three layer with a hair brush.
