I am getting ready to head out of town to visit my family for Thanksgiving week. I am looking forward to the bit of vanilla downtime to be spent with family but thanks to good ol’ wifi, I’ll be able to stay connected to the online spanking community as well. So all Punished Brats updates will go up as scheduled and I should be able to check in here and via email (though granted not as often or quickly as I normally would).
So as Thanksgiving nears, I’d like to take a moment to share some things I’m thankful for … and some things I’m spankful for!
- I am thankful for good, understanding, and supportive friends and loved ones whether they are kinky, vanilla, or somewhere in between. And yes, that includes you!

- I am thankful for the amazing generosity shown by all those that supported the Cause For Paws animal charity. With your help, the shelter will be able to continue rescuing and finding loving homes for dogs and cats (plus chickens, rabbits, lizards, and more). Many thanks to all that donated and promoted the event and to those of you that continue to make contributions now even after the spanking video and vanilla walk are over for this year. Your kindness touches me and touches the lives of lots of little furry ones.

- I am thankful that green bean casserole will NOT be on the menu at my family’s Thanksgiving dinner.

Now for what I’m spankful for. In other words, a couple of things that I’m very thankful for, but which could potentially be worthy of at least a little fun spanking.
- I am spankful for panty sales!!!
- I am spankful that wooden spoons are flammable.
(Don’t worry. I didn’t actually harm the spoon with the lighter. I’d be much more likely to safely toss it in our wood stove.)
Whether you’ll be celebrating Thanksgiving this week or not, please feel free to share what you’re thankful and spankful for this year. I’d love to hear it.

I’m also thankful for Pixie and this blog, her sharing with us of her talents and passions, her exploration of topics that make us think about this kink that we have and for helping to add to the sense of community unity of this widely diverse group that shares a love of spanking and cherry red bottoms!

Hey Pixie,
I haven’t checked in with you for a while so I just wanted to say both happy belated birthday and happy Thanksgiving.
I loved your post about being thankful for good tops. Hopefully, I’ve been a good one with my partners. I had one – since moved to Europe
– who not only left my hand very red but also quite itchy for a couple of days usually. I wonder if any of the other tops who read here have had that experience.
Looks like you are up to your usual highjinks and merriment and that Mischa looks like she’s a real kick. I’ve been having computer problems in recent months but if this continues to work well I see I have some catching up to do. Some fun catching up.
Hope you’re well,
Joe (JHthree)

hi punkin,
i’m thankfull for all the good people in the comunliy and all the girls and guy at pb’s.
i was going to email you about the latest pixies preview’s but you’re going away. suffive to say it is great.
npw my vanilla holliday gift to you: dons traditional mashed potatoes.
i cook b’guess & b’gorry so there are no exact ammounts.
peel the potatoes and cube them in 3/4 to 1 in cubes [don't worry about exact size]
put them in a pot that allows 2-3 inches of water above the potatoes. add handfulls of salt to the water. [don't worry their not going to be salty] for a five lb bag i might add 3-5 handfulls. kosher or pickling salt are best. simmer untill a fork passes easily thru the largest cubes.
while they’re simmering melt unsalted butter and add whole milk and warm. i don’t think about this i just do it. check an online recipe for guidense on quantities.
now here’s the double secret ingrediant. white pepper!!! if you’ve never cooked with white pepper you use pinches.
when the potatoes are done transfer to a collandar and rinse copiously with hot water. transfer back to the rinsed pot.
if you’re unsure of the white pepper just add the warmed butter & milk and do a quick mash. then reserve 1/3 – 1/4 of the partially mashed potatoes. add pinches of the white pepper untill you can just taste a difference. put back the reserved potatoes and you’ll be fine.
always have a box of instant mashed potatoes on hand. if yours are too soupy slowly add the instant untill you’ve got the right consistancy.
they won’t be salty and you won’t taste white pepper.
people will rave.
white pepper is the unsung spice. i add it to anything i might add butter to like corn nibblets, creamed corn, asparagus, green beans, lima beans, etc.
this recipe thaes longer to read [and write] than it does to cook.
have a happy,
ddon

Hi Pixie!
What a great post, it’s nice to think of all of the good things in our life. The two things I’m most thankful for this year are having a job I love where I can make a measurable difference in the community and that my whole family is healthy after a few medical issues in the past months.
Since we’re sharing recipes, my favorite Thanksgiving recipe is homemade applesauce:
Peel a bunch of apples – a mix of mostly mild flavored apples with a couple of tarter ones mixed in gives best results. Core the apples and cut into chunks.
Add just enough water to cover the bottom to a large covered pot, then add in the apples and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until soft & mushy, though still chunky.
You can sprinkle cinnamon over them to serve, but they don’t need it.

I sent you a personal message earlier which has to do with an appreciation for little secrets.
Please have a great Thanksgiving!

This year I am incredibly thankful for all the friends and family who were there to listen, support and encourage me through a bad job and a bad relationship. And thankful for the internet which helps me stay in touch with old friends, meet new ones, and discover fun blogs to read and enjoy like this one!
I am spankful for household pervertables like hairbrushes, cooking utensils etc. that can be kept out in plain sight and only a fellow spanko would notice it or know what I really bought it for.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!

The things I am thankful for:
The freedoms we enjoy and the men and women who sacrifice so much to give us those freedoms.
All the many friends I have met and the sharing of thoughts and ideas I have had with them, especially YOU Amber, who I feel like I have know and shared my whole life with.
Finding true love and the prospect of soon sharing the rest of my life with a man who has spent countless hours comforting me and getting to know my every little fear and need.
I’m thankful that the president is elected only for 4 years and that a lot of people remember the difference between Democracy and Socialism and are willing to voice thier opinions to keep what is right with America. (I’m not looking to start a fight or even a heated discussion, this is just my opinion!!)
I’m thankful for the internet and the ability to seek info and connect with like-minded individuals, be they vanilla or not!!
Drop-seat PJs and those who continue to make such items in my size in plethura of fabrics and colors.
I am spankful for:
That the profession I once chose in life is not something I ever have to return to and when I tease that I might………
I”m reminded in a painful way of a certain “Ouchless Goody Hairbrush” left me from a previous relationship.
The on-going ability to relieve the stress of being jobless soon but not being without support and a “helping hand” when needed.
Thank you, Pixie for all that you do and all that you share!!!

Hi Pixie,
Great topic!!
I am thankful for my kids. They keep me going everyday and I am blessed to have them!
I am thankful for friends that have become family!!
For a mentor that knows the right words to say, that makes me feel like the world is lifted off of my shoulders.
For the fact that our puppy is finally potty trained, lol.
And for places like this where I can go and share this part of me that I can’t share anywhere else. Thank you!!
To ddon, I’m still here, and no hard feelings about the ivory tower, lol. I’m stepping out of my box a little more everyday.

I am thanful for my friends and what family I have.
I am thankful for waking up to face each day no matter what it may bring.
Even though she is no longer with us, I’m thankful for the all-to- short amount of time I was in love with a lovely lady who loved me back just as much.
And yes, Pixie, I’m thankful for knowing you–or getting to know you–thankful for your thoughtful posts and for being able to comment on them and for your replies to the comments, and for the occasional e-mails we exchange.
And if we ever get the chance to meet–I’ll be thankful for that, too.

Happy Thanksgiving, Pixie! I’m thankful for your blog and everything you contribute to the world.
I know, not very original, but true.

Happy Thanks (and Spanks) Giving to all!
I am very thankful for so many things, having my own house, to be working in these hard times and for the constant and unconditional love and support of my family and friends.
And, of course, extremely thankful for regular access to this blog.
Funny fact about Green Bean Casserole. Apparently it was invented in 1955 by a Mr. Dorcas Reilly. So it’s all his fault!!
November 25th, 2009 - 3:02 am
I am thankful for (slowly) accepting those aspects of myself which previously I’ve been ashamed.
November 25th, 2009 - 4:19 pm
I’m thankful for my husband L, who both lets me dream and keeps it real. And for my warm, nosy mother’s ‘chiming bells’ laugh, my clever, clueless Dad (they’re not mutually exclusive traits), and my beautiful, half-witted Himalyan cat Cameo (he once ran head-first into a boulder while chasing a squirrel). For Bach, the Big Bang Theory, and cashmere at acrylic prices at St George’s thrift sale. For my tutor (miracle worker) who helped me pass pre-calculus. For my two favourite books of 2009, which I will be re-reading in 2010 (the Guernsey Literary Society and Deliverance Dane.) And my new black Uggs, because I have seriously cold feet. And friends both off and online.
And thankful for spanking websites, because sometimes L’s arm gets tired.
November 25th, 2009 - 11:10 pm
Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Spanksgiving (getting) to you. I am thankful for health, my loving wife, Russian Blue cat Smokey, to be able to be retired without major worries, and being able to enjoy the friendship of here and on the other blogs/websites I read.
November 26th, 2009 - 1:17 am
I am thankful for my beautiful wife and three beautiful sons. I am thankful to have two jobs in which I can do work that I enjoy and hopefully make a positive difference (even though I really need to find a job that does all that AND pays a lot more in 2010). I am thankful for good friends, who care, stay in touch, and allow me to be my true self.
I am thankful and spankful that my niece / friend (with whom I can be a real top and fantasy bottom) should be able to visit in the first quarter of the new year (fingers crossed).
I am thankful for you, Pix – for your blog, and for Punish Brats, both of which remind me on a regular basis that I am not alone in this strange little interest we all share.
Wishing you a peaceful and happy Thanksgiving!

As long as Pixie continues to pose in panties, I too am spankful for panty sales. Also, I am spankful for all the punished brats and brat punishers out there in spanko land.
And I am grateful that there will none of those pesky mushrooms in my green bean casserole, as I use cream of onion soup instead of evil mushroom soup.
November 28th, 2009 - 9:34 pm
I’m thankful to have found the community and you Pixie to help me feel ok with the whole spanko thing. I’m glad to have a spanker of my own.
