A few years later, videotapes became available, and unfortunately quite a few of them featured spankees who didn’t know the first thing about acting. I’m sure that some of these were real spankos, but that didn’t make things any better when they went into a one-note kicking and yowling routine at the first smack and kept it going like the Energizer Bunny, often for 10 or 15 minutes straight, without changing either pitch or motion. I sincerely appreciated their willingness to bare their bottoms and be spanked on tape for my viewing pleasure, but I couldn’t help wanting more. (And there were honorable exceptions to the trend who gave more.)

It seems to me that we’re now living in a Golden Age of spanking videos — there are so many lovely women who are into the spanking scene personally, but capable of giving a stunningly good impression of a spoiled brat having a completely new, unexpected, and thoroughly unpleasant experience over somebody’s knee. And perhaps others, AFAIK, are not into the scene at all, but have the same talent and are willing to display it. Samantha, Lizzy, and your good self, Ms. A. Pixie Wells, and many others I haven’t got time to list, should all get (among your just deserts) very special Spanking Academy Awards.

Doesn’t matter to me whether you choose to call yourselves models or actresses, but you have to *be* good actresses to do what you all so wonderfully do. It’s enough to bring happy tears to an old man’s eyes.

It really is the acting that makes the difference for me. I do prefer to think that the spankee is getting a reward more personal than money out of the experience, but as long as she does her best to persuade me that what she’s getting is a horrible surprise, I’m satisfied.

P.S. Someone mentioned wanting to see more videos in which the spankee is forcibly yanked over someone’s knee and spanked. As I understand it, producers have to be careful to establish, in the script, that the spankee consents to be spanked so as not to run afoul of the same laws that require her to be 18 or older. That’s why we encounter so many challenges of the “…or shall we call your father?” variety. Perhaps this is too bad, but let’s be thankful for what we have. Take my word for it, compared to what we had 50 years ago it’s quite a lot.

Then I thought of series of videos by Raven Hill Studios (which apparently no longer exists?) called “Resolved By Corporal Punishment.” These at least seem to be what they say they are: A young woman (who is not a spanking actress / model) has behaved irresponsibly (e.g., breaking something while drunk) and gotten herself fined or sued. The studio agrees to pay off the debt; the girl in exchange agrees to take a very real disciplinary spanking, on camera, and the studio sells the videos. I have enjoyed watching some of these quite a bit, and yet these are girls who apparently are not “into” spanking, and are in fact doing it for the money. The more I think of it, though, the more I realize the fundamental difference: In this case, there ARE strong emotions of regret and contrition involved, as opposed to just, “This sucks and hurts like hell, but I’m getting two months’ rent out of it.”

to me if people who doing the spanking or getting spanked that i see may had like something about it to actually do a spanking shoot or had let the spankings happen to least try it. or was willing to let them self get spanked or let the person spank them

How much is scripted and how much adlib?

I’m sure the senario is scripted, but if you want it natural, scripting the spanking would come off fake some how..

I don’t care for the “dead fish” spankee that just lies there and doesn’t move or say anything.

Or one that acks like she is being murdered when getting a few light slaps.

I get the feeling that, on Punished Brats anyway, once in position, what follows is a real spanking that the receiver getting and reacting to that fact.

This is actually a serious question, because I wonder if spanking “models” get the same protections and rights as regular actresses. Is it cheaper to pay “models” than actresses? Are there any benefits to being called a model rather than an actress? I’ve always wondered…

For my own preference, I’d rather watch someone who is into spanking for real, and loves doing shoots — the money is just icing on the cake. I believe their desire to be there adds a certain energy to their performance. Screaming in agony isn’t about energy — it’s about pure pain, and that makes me cringe.

I do like classic spanking reactions, though — struggling, fussing, kicking, complaining. Pixie, I know that you know what I mean when I say I DON’T like the “porn star” reaction — oohing and ahhing and lip-biting. Please.
