Spanking Pixie

Weekend Wrap Up

July 6th, 2009

I had a lovely holiday wekend even if all of our weather-dependent plans didn’t turn out as we’d hoped.  For the second year in a row (and several attempts in between), our plans to go white water rafting were called off due to thunderstorms.  Although the morning was beautiful, the storms were predicted to hit just at the time we’d be launching and floating in the middle of a river holding a long metal shafted oar with lightning is never recommended.  Instead, our group headed out for a hike along the Appalachian trail.  I suppose walking through the forest in the middle of a storm wouldn’t be ideal either, but it seemed like the safer of the two options.

I’m still struggling with some chronic pain that made the hike more of a challenge than usual but it was great to be out in nature and I was treated to some lovely sights when we reached the pond.  Lots of handsome bullfrogs singing their hearts out …

A five lined skink scrambling over the rocks …

And a black and blue butterfly that paused to nibble the salt on my hand.  It really tickled!

Another day we went to a fair and one of the vendors had all sorts of wood burning engraved items for sale including lots of wooden spoons and spatulas  There were two that had spanking references on them.  We purchased the one that said “Don’t Make Me Use This” on it.  I thought it was cute and I could possibly claim a vanilla interpretation of the phrase as in please don’t make me cook.  I’m sure that’s what it means, right?  :D

The other spoon with a spanking reference on it was a little more obvious, but didn’t quite make sense to me.  It said “A Good Spanking Is One You Can Both Walk Away From”.  Geez, I sure hope so!!!  I mean, maybe you’ll have a little trouble sitting comfortably, but if you can’t walk after getting spanked, that’s a problem.

Yesterday, I went for a short kayak trip around the lake in the morning.

And later we had a small BBQ where I gave a quick outdoor flash of my pink cheeks following a brief encounter with that darn wooden spatula we’d picked up at the fair.

Today I’m paying a bit for my active weekend with a little extra soreness in my knees, shoulders, and of course on my bottom, but it was so worth it and I enjoyed every minute of the outdoor fun.

    Hi Pixie,

Looks like you had a great holiday weekend, in spite of the weather. The pic of you by the grill is so cute, but the link points to punishedBRAS.com… could it be that there was there more to this weekend than what you are telling us? ;-)

    Again, thanks for sharing :-)

Sounds like a great weekend, love the spatula. Shame about your pain problems, hope that gets better soon.

Went to a July 4th bash myself this year, it was very educational. I learnt about the American tradition of making sure that each guest must eat at least one entire cow each and the drunken, post midnight tutorial on the making of S’mores was very informative.

I hope you feel better soon!

It rained where I live too, but I had very meaningful conversations with family that I don’t get to see very often.

She said, “I know what you’re trying to tell me…” A loving moment!

I feel happy and want you to be happy, too!

btw, thanks for the great pictures!

    Mmmm, barbecued buns, my favorite!!
I hope you’re feeling better from your hiking over the weekend, and I hope that the unspecified ailment you were complaining about a few posts ago is well and truly sorted out. Can’t have our Pixie in the wrong sort of discomfort, can we?
Once again a hearfelt thanks for those lovely pics of the Garden State (and of course you) and it just goes to show that we spankos are everywhere! Resistance is futile!
I would love to get up to the Garden State one of these days, somaybe you could list some of the great hiking opportunities New Jersey offers? Nude Pixies optional (but greatly enjoyed).

Glad you had a fun weekend. Sounds like you made some nice finds too… and love that last pic. Perfect for 4th of July!

What beautiful pictures! The butterfly is so pretty.

You know, come to think of it — the day after a really intense spanking, it hurts a little to walk! I feel it in my butt muscles. :-D

Glad you had a nice weekend… and I hope your pain goes away soon.

Glad for the joyful pain which made you red and warm. Sorry about the chronic. Anything that can be done? What part of Appalachia were you? I live about five miles from the trail. And near a few places you can raft, though I prefer a canoe. Glad you’re back. Hope to see you at SSNY.

That is the luckiest butterfly in the world! [and did not know butterflies landed on people....or maybe they only land on pixies??]

lovin’ your blog and piccies as always,
    Dave

    Pixie,

Angel has a grill exactly like that one!! But, I sure have never cooked on it in the same situtation you have. It must have been an awful “Quick” flash and I’m always amazed at the pictures you are able to take with out adding. “And here I am just before being arrested for indecent exposure” LOL

I’m not sure about the “Spanking you can walk away from” spoon either. My guess is the vendor is just watching to see who picks up or examines the spoon. LOL But, the pictures were still interesting.

Glad you were able to enjoy the outdoors over the weekend, but sorry to hear all the pain was not in the desirable category. The mosquitos here were terrible and the crowds and traffic were really bad but the fireworks are something we have managed to always enjoy and they just seem more and more spectacular each year.

    Glad your back safe,
    Linde

I think the phrase “take a walk on the Appalachian trail” has changed meaning forever. I guess it’s good that your husband was with you.

  14. Winchester

“A good spanking is one you can both walk away from” suggests to me that it “clears the air”. The spanker is relieved of stress, the spankee has paid the price, and there are (or should be) no continuing resentments, anger or other relationship threatening emotional hangups. But I do rather like your spatula – and am just wondering where you might display it. With the untensils in the kitchen? Or on the living room or bedroom wall?

Sorry you did not get your whitewater rafting – and that you still have your unspecified pain – but I am delighted that you had such a refreshing holiday weekend. And what a bonus the pictures are: you are so firtnate to have the gift of wildlife photography – and the wildlife to use it on!

Actually, your ceeks are not all that red – we have seen them much redder I believe!

  15. David 007

Glad it was a fun weekend Pixie. Always fun to find a good implement among vanillas. ;)

  16. Aristotle

Sorry to hear about the chronic pain Pixie but glad that you had a refreshing and renewing break from routine.

What a delight to see you flashing your pink cheeks……as always the sight lights up my day! In the UK we have continued, until today, to enjoy a sweltering heatwave. This has meant that my two ladies have been wearing flimsy sundresses and short shorts in the garden and of course that means that they have been flashing their cheeks every time they bent over or sat down or stood up or their was a light breeze. In turn this has led to admonitory smacks…on their thinly-covered bottoms..from me and that in turn has led to some more open-air spankings down at the bottom(!) of the garden. Both ladies have been over my knee more than once whilst I sat on the garden bench in the shade of large oak and sycamore trees. I wonder if they’ve witnessed other ladies getting their bottoms punished in time past? .

    Hiya

I like skinks because their name contains the word ‘kink’.

  19. Dr. Ken

    Dear Pixie,
Clearly we need to get you an apron that says, “Spank the Chef!”
Lovely picture–glad to see you didn’t have any “grill marks”!

    Dr. Ken

  20. Dante d'Amore

Love the pics, especially the last one.

  21. 2Good

Glad you made the best of your cancelled plans and had fun anyway.

As for the spatula, I don’t know how one would purchase or even accompany someone making such a purchase without turning beet red. Did you meet him in the car?

  22. Pixie

Kim – Nope, I promise no lingerie was hurt over the holiday weekend. :)

    crystal – thanks!

Prefectdt – Your July 4th learning experience sounds right on par! I missed out on the s’mores this year but I made up for it with a helping of flag cake – vanilla frosting sheet cake topped with strawberries and blueberries assembled to represent the American flag.

dani – I’m glad that you made the best of your rainy weekend and from what it sounds like, it all went well. Yay!

D – Unfortunately my pesky pain and related issues are still being … well … a pain! But hopefully it will all be sorted out soon as I am not one that likes to be down for long. I’m glad you enjoy the photos. I kind of giggle when I read off-hand remarks about NJ’s reputation for being nothing but oil refineries and seedy motels. Clearly they haven’t been out this way! Certainly lots of lush green forests and farmland left. Write me if ever you’d like me to recommend some cool natural areas to explore.

Todd & Suzy – Yep! Blue dress, white panties, red (ok, pink but we can work with it) bottom!

Erica – Now that’s a good point. It’s a similar kind of muscle soreness like after a really intense workout. I’m starting to wonder a bit more about just how innocent and vanilla that spoon maker really was.

CurtisG – The fun pain is always welcome. The chronic kind is not and currently not well controlled. Still a work in progress. The section of the trail we did was through the northern NJ area. We met several people along the way that had started in Georgia!

Dave – I was thrilled when the butterfly landed on me. I had stooped down to get a closer shot as it paused on a leaf, and it hopped right up on my hand.

Linde – That’s one of the advantages of living out in the country, I guess! While I still exercise caution, there’s plenty of space and privacy here.

I tried not to meet the eyes of the spoon vendor, but I swear she had a smirk on her face as my husband purchased that spatula!

tim – Thank you. :) Glad you like all of the photos.

Southern Expat – I’m not quite sure what the other meaning of the phrase might have been, but our group had a very nice time on our hike.

Winchester – The spatula is tucked in our regular kitchen utensil drawer. Handy for a quick kitchen spanking and easily explained if a vanilla were to stumble upon it. My cheeks have definitely been much redder from other spankings. That spatula is thin and ALL sting. Ugh. I may have also lost a little color between the time I was spanked and the time the picture was taken, but I was not about to willingly submit to another dose!

Aristotle – Oh the wonderous things those trees may have seen in their life time. Sounds like your naughty ladies aren’t doing themselves any favors in their efforts to cool off if they are only managing to get their bottoms warmed!

Duncan – Thunderstorm season can make it tricky to plan outdoor fun. I used to enjoy going out for walks in thunderstorms. Not the wisest thing to do. After a few close calls with falling branches and getting chased down the street by a high winds blown trashcan, I now enjoy nature’s temper tantrums safely tucked on the covered porch.

    jan – LOL!! Kinky skinks!!

Dr. Ken – Hmmm … if I had that apron, perhaps I’d cook more often. :D

    Dante d’Amore – Thank you!

2Good – I was present, but I milled around the booth and pretended to be incredibly interested in some other knick knacks so that it would appear that I wasn’t even aware that he was making the purchase. I did sneak a peek as we were leaving and I truly swear she was smirking.

We have that exact grill babe! I love that shot!… see you in August for something special wink D.
