There’s just something very special about bedtime spankings especially if the person getting it is wearing pj’s. Maybe it’s the thought of knowing there is nothing else under those pj bottoms that makes it exciting. Also knowing that after the spanking, there will be lots of time to reflect upon it as you fall asleep on your tummy to an ever increasing warmth in you bottom. Then the next morning, it’s always a little quieter than usual around the breakfast table, since everyone in the household knows you got a spanking last night. And you know that they know you got it. Really adds something to the mood.

I once visited friends of mine who were a spanko couple and the gentleman had to leave very early in the morning for work. Ddon – PJs certainly aren’t for everyone. Nothing is. Just today I received 2 emails with directly conflicting impressions, views, and preferences regarding PB spanking scenes. And so I’m sure that you are not alone in preferring girls to wear things other than pajamas when they are spanked.

Brad – These sort of spankings do have a more nurturing air to them. To me, a bedtime spanking makes me feel even more vulnerable than a normal spanking would. If done with the right person and the right tone, that vulnerability can be a positive in allowing for a more emotional and relaxing experience.

Justme – Age play is a grey area for me. I suppose I end up doing a fair bit of age play when regularly doing school girl scenes and the like, but I don’t like to get too close to any spanking scenario that would depict anything too child-like or close to my own upbringing. Perhaps because I wasn’t spanked in pajamas, I haven’t built any negative associations, but I certainly can relate. I have plenty of things that squick me out that I prefer not to participate in too.

Winchester – Yeah, there is something comforting about being able to go to bed afterwards. If it’s real punishment, it’s nice to have the cooling down time (and I mean the emotional sort) for both the spanker and the spankee. I think the worst is to be left after a spanking with the orders to come out when composed again. I don’t know why, but that’s much harder to do and I’d find myself slinking out sheepishly much more so than when given a night’s reprieve.

Dr. Ken – That’s pretty much how it is here as well. Usually spankings are given at the time of the incident (or when the aftermath is discovered!). Only when we are out someplace am I told I’ll be getting “dogs” – the codeword we have from the cat toy implement story – later.

Sir Funkytown – Age play is a tricky thing. I am only semi-comfortable with it. I have declines some scene ideas that bordered a little too heavily on the little girl thing and squicked me out. That being said, I have enjoyed many spanking stories that involve age play (the series about rejuvenation is a big fav). Over all I tend to be more comfortable with F/F age play than M/F. Just me though and I haven’t completely sorted out my thoughts and feelings as to why yet.

It’s true that on PB we don’t like to depict scenes that suggest the character is much younger than late teens.

As for Twitter, I signed up just to have the spot reserved if I should choose to do Twitter in the future and so that my name wouldn’t be nabbed by someone else. As you can see, I haven’t opted to actually use Twitter as of yet (I’m bad enough in trying to keep up with MySpace, FetLife, Blogging, and emails), but I may in the future.

Dan – Sweet story! I guess she was either eager to receive her punishment or eager to get it over with.

Emma – What a lovely routine that could be knowing you’d be sent to bed with a warm bottom each night. Who needs warm milk? Warm bottoms are better.

I’d say the majority of my spankings are more of funishment than punishment here at home. While the offenses might be very real and the spankings are too (and quite hard at times!!), I still can say “no” and the spanking won’t be given whereas with strict discipline, I don’t think I’d have quite as much say.

JC – Oh that is a problem. I suppose that gives you more time to enjoy the pleasant view, but that may only exacerbate the situation.

There is something so utterly calming and peaceful about drifting to sleep with a warm bottom to me, it just can’t be beat.

That said, I think your post was more about disciplinary bedtime spankings than fun ones, so I’ll add that while I’ve had plenty of those, they weren’t quite of the sort you described. My partner & I live a few hours apart, so there is almost always waiting involved in any punishment spankings. Like you, I manage to work myself up into quite a mess before hand, and I positively hate it! When we are together, though, I pretty much spend the whole day/weekend getting spanked, so while there are plenty of bedtime spankings, they are just a continuation of the rest of the day’s activities and not something I have to dread from the morning on.

Of course, no matter how much I hate the waiting, I have to admit that I also love the anticipation it builds, to a point. I think I’d be terribly disappointed if I got every spanking immediately and never had to wait for anything…

Fot those into the psychological aspect of spanking there is an important aspect of bedtime spanking. Those who are familiar with the concept of “sub space” know that being placed in bed imediately after a spanking leaves the posibility of some very unique (and posibly desirable) time to reflect and acquiesce into a very pleasant nights sleep.

After I posted my first message I was visited by some new friends that I had met about a month ago who had visited the site and after a short visit I agreed to be spanked and put to bed. I can only say that I have no idea how 9 hours of sleep passed so quickly but ….. It was the most wonderful sleep I had in months. I’ll try and write more details later if anyone is interested but …. well, what can I say.
