A popular theme in spanking scenes is the bedtime spanking. The miscreant may be sent to bed early or made to wait until the time they would normally retire for the evening to receive their punishment. Teeth brushed, shower taken, and dressed in pajamas or whatever they might choose to wear to bed, the naughty one then receives the spanking for any misdeeds earlier in the day and then is finally sent to bed with a sore bottom for a night’s rest on her tummy.
While I’ve had the chance to play out this sort of scenario in role play and in shoots, I don’t often experience this in real life. On the rare occasion that I was spanked growing up, I was never made to wait for my punishment. The swats were always delivered at the time of the infraction while I was dressed in my day clothes (well, perhaps minus the bottoms). And today when I receive any playful punishments from my husband, the spankings are also typically given on the spot or when we next have a private moment. I have acted up and become bratty at bedtime earning myself a sore-bottomed tuck-in, but I can’t recall being specifically made to wait until night time to get spanked for something I did earlier in the day.
I’m kind of glad that I’m not made to wait until bedtime as the anxiety would be maddening. How bad will it be? Does he really mean it? Will he even remember? What if I hop into bed early and fall asleep really fast? I suppose that anxiety is all a part of the punishment and it would be effective because I’d be on edge all day. I can’t decide if I’d like it or not – and by “like” I mean in that same love-hate way I feel about the pain of the spanking itself. I love the ritual, the routine. I love the thought of going to bed with a hot bottom. And of course, I love the pajamas. But the anxiety might do me in (I’m a highstrung person to begin with) and I’d be bitterly disappointed if my punishment were forgotten or dismissed when bedtime finally rolled around and I’d spent hours worrying for nothing.

There’s nothing I love more than giving a bedtime spanking. There’s nothing disciplinary about it. It’s having the spankee you care about in dropseat pjs or similar attire. It’s just a lovely way to end a long hard day. I’ve sent my spankee into blissfull slumber more than once that way and seeing her drifting off into peaceful sleep with a red sore bottom makes my whole day worth it.

As a bit of a sensations freak, the anticipation adds greatly to the experience. The best bit about a bedtime spanking is afterwards, drifting off to sleep with a hot tingling bottom and that nice “cared for” feeling. Bed time spankings just don’t happen often enough.
Being woken up in the middle of the night for an unannounced punishment caning, that is a whole other can of worms.

Love the picture, I’d certainly like to put you to bed with a hot bottom on a regular basis, and of course, what better place to ‘kiss and make up’ afterwards? ^_-. I love the idea of bed time spankings. I wrote about the ritual of childhood bed time spanking in one of my stories.
I based it on experiences of kids I had grown up with and their stories they had shared.
Spanking in my neighborhood was common when I was a kid. So the threat of “Wait till your father comes home” meant a bed time spanking for some when their Father did not get home from the factory or Farm until 9:00 PM.
For one Family I grew up with the wait till bedtime went along with being sent to your room as punishment. Which meant if you got in trouble at 9:00 AM, then it was a long day of anticipation indeed. They felt time to reflect was just as important as the belt they would soon apply to someones naughty bare bottom.
Now as an adult I love to draw to the anticipation with a bed time spanking. I might even go as far as to tell her on a Wed. that on Fri. night she had a bed time session coming. I bet that Pixie would be climbing the walls while waiting. I especially use this if it is to be a punishment session.
The anticipation is part of the process, and if you are looking for tears then this usually works. The waiting is sweet torment especially from the spankers point of veiw. Anticipation works both ways, which is something people tend to forget!
After supper I’d lay out her jammys and draw her a bath. I might even lay out some impliments for her to look at after she gets out of the tub or shower.
Then there is no more discussion other than the pre-arranged time and maybe posistion if so desired. I generally use the bed for these sessions though.
So Pixie; if it was you, come 9:00 PM you go to your room, bend over the end of the bed or over some pillows bare bottom and await your fate. Beleave me there is no way he will “Forget” your spanking!

You know of my interest in drop-seat PJs and I have a separate listing on my Internet favorites of nothing but manufactures/sellers of various types/colors/styles of drop-seats. I really don’t know where the interest came from for this article of clothing but I guess the fact that panties are not worn (sometimes) since using the toilet is more difficult with just the “flap” being dropped. Here in 90 degree Florida there really is no need for additional warmth from the covering but the ability to JUST expose the bottom seems to be a plus in another type of warming. LOL
In actuality, I am also usually spanked on the spot (so to speak) or shortly thereafter if we are in a public place. I’ve written about the psychological aspect being important in a spanking but if the time is extended too long then I get to the point of being able to think of NOTHING ELSE besides the spanking. I usually put on my drop-seat PJs, am spanked, but don’t get the chance to spend much time on my tummy under the covers to drift off to a blissful nights sleep.
Sadly, I wish there were more bedtime spankings but I’m moving away from the possibility since I’m spending more time back in my own apartment living alone. I guess I could have someone spank me at my apartment and them leave. That is an idea I’ll have to bring up. I do know of the blissful sleep that is possible after a spanking but I don’t get the chance anymore to “sleep over” after a spanking. LOL

Bedtime spankings are among my favorite scenarios, though they do tend to “cap the day” somewhat. While I have little trouble getting vanillas (or others) to talk about their spanking experiences, for some reason bedtime spankings never seem to be included – except once. The young lady, whose kink tended toward infantilism and being a “little,” told me of her summer visit at 17 to her aging grandmother. The woman, who it turned out was suffering from early Alzheimer’s and believed she was dealing with her still-juvenile daughter, immediately imposed an 8:30 p.m. bedtime and various other childhood limitations which she strictly enforced. On more than one occasion, the girl (who clearly relished these tales) was forced to dress for bed in the late afternoon, given a hard spanking, then had to lay beneath the bedsheets on her throbbing bottom while her grandmother scolded her, then listened to the TV playing in the living room in fading daylight until she was able to fall asleep. The girl, who traced the beginnings of her kink awareness to this one-time visit, told me she could just “let herself go” and feel like a complete child, forgetting her concerns about enrolling in college, helping to pay for her tuition, her parents’ expectations, etc.
Her stories definitely provided the inspiration for a later role play with my own college partner (then wife) when we stayed for a week in her parents’ NC mountain cabin, which was complete with a wrap-around porch, a woodshed, and three bedrooms. There we were able to act out virtually every scenario we could think of, uninterrupted and *possibly* unobserved, including outdoor spankings and “trips to the woodshed.” One of the small bedrooms was a children’s room with only a set of bunk beds and a child’s dresser (decorated with various appliqués) which, because it is a separate room to which one can be sent, I think enhanced the total experience. There is no climbing into bed beside the spankee at any point afterward to disrupt the scene, and she’s left alone, thoroughly chastised, to find her way to sleep.
Whether its cornertime then to bed, straight to bed afterward, a spanking on the spot then another “reminder” at bedtime (early or at “regular” time), or any other scenario I can think of, I’d prefer (if I ever get another shot at it) to include a solitary “finish” to this scene rather than usual nighttime conclusion. Just my personal POV.

I share the others. I love bed-time spankings too! Love to pull the pajamas tight over the buttocks for the first series of smacks and some caressing and fondling as well. To take them slowly down. I composed it prior to your email, but as I post on average of every 4 days, it didn’t go up until today. While it is coincidence that your email also reflected the topic of pajamas and this post was not directed towards you, I am happy to have you join in the discussion and voice your views on pajamas, spanking, and whatever else might be of a related topic. You have not sinned nor do I think you are a dufus. I’ve recieved a few bedtime spankings and I must admit that I have hated every single one. I am a back sleeper, so being forced to sleep on my tummy because I have a super red hot bottom is not one of my favs. Although the bedtime spanking I recieved were when I was growing up.
As you already know I was a wild child, and teenager and was often in the company of a babysitter when my stepmother didn’t have an iron fist weighing over me. So if I got into trouble while the folks were away the sitter would send me to my room and tell me to wait for my stepmother. For me that was almost as bad as the spanking itself. The time just crawled by and I knew that I would soon have a roasted rear when Victoria came home. My Dad never did the discipline in our house, it was always left up to her. So instead of hearing “wait till your father gets home- I heard wait till your stepmother gets home!” Of course for me a bedtime spanking always ment on the bare over the knee and usually accompined by the hairbrush or belt. Something to sting and hurt like hell and to be remembered for a few days afterward.
Although I must say I enjoy a bedtime spanking scene now, and I love the ritual it entails when the spankee has to wait.

I would prefer not to wait….had enough of “wait until your father gets home” moments growing up, but my disciplinarian is long distance…
I usually get to see him every couple of weeks….and am usually a pretty good girl…but this time I wasn’t and am facing a severe spanking…. Problem is that it will be my first punishment spanking….and I have now waited for it for three weeks……and will probably be waiting 1 or 2 more…..

You hit on one of my favorite spanking topics. The kinds of spankings I most like to give are nurturing ones administered by hand to a deserving bare bottom of a stressed female adult. I like taking my time and helping the woman relax. The only part of her body which should feel stress is her bottom, and by the time the spanking is done, even that area should feel mellow, albeit red. swollen and glowing.
At parties, when I get asked to give a bedtime spanking, it is a real honor. I feel like a woman is asking me to make her feel complete so she can go to bed without worries and knowing someone cared. Drop seat pjs are a plus and are really fun, but really anything works. Being able to tuck someone into bed and turn out the lights is heartwarming.
So, yes, bedtime spankings are the best!

Back when we lived in Arizona privacy was such that we usually had to wait until bedtime for spankings… including any discipline spankings. Those usually did occur pretty much as you describe too… shower taken, teeth brushed, PJs on… then time for a spanking. The pre-spanking ritual usually involved Suzy trying to talk her way out of it or at least get a clue.
I personally prefer the way things work here in Florida now, where (discipline) spankings are more or less spot on. That ‘anxiety’ does start to add up and the constant attempts to get out of the spanking gets tedious.
That said, fun role-play type spankings with the PJ/bedtime theme are great fun. Have had lots of those and really do enjoy them. That playful anticipation works. and PJs are probably the best clothing for a spanking.

Just cant keep away from commenting on pyjama spanking.
As Oixie commented to ddon I did request the prbnaks vid to be placed onto her site. For me it is a prefectly played pyjama spanking sceanario From the type of pyjamas pixoe wears to the discilpine she recieves and the tongue in cheek dialog and set up. Although nothing tongue in cheek about the spanking.
For me Pix gets ot right hear ( and in many other pj scenes involving her pert bum). She wears just the pyjamas (always a plus) she gets spanked in while they are still up (again a big plus for me). And for all of you guys and gurls who like to see a bare bum she gets them taken down too.
There are a couple of things that i cannot stand about some pjs spankings. One ( as pixie knows too well LOL) is the wearing of underwear) and two whe na girl is made to strip right off s oshe gets it naked. No point in strating with any clothes if that is the methos. Thankfully PB does not indulge in such ppractices and keeps all disciplinary spankings life-like.
I always prefer the pyjamas to be coving a girls bottom for a good length of the spanking. I love to see the bottom causing the material to ripple then stretch as the spanking takes place. Another great thing about pb is it use of 3 4 or more camera angles too and Pixies latest pjs offering does that too.
I could go on and on about pyjamas for spankings but I will finish by saying Pixie for me pyjamas and bedtime can occur at any time of the day. So the order get your pyjamas on my girl wouldmean a spanked bottom and off to bed even as the sun shines through the bedroom window.
So with that in mind. Pixie go and get your pyjamas on my girl you know what to expect lol.

I find it too close to ageplay for my taste…
I associate it with childhood, and although I don’t mind mild references to childhood, its more than a reference for me, but a recreation, and that I don’t care for.

For erotic satisfaction there must be something to be said for bed-time pyjama spankings: but if there is any element of disciplinary spanking involved I hinks it begins to border on the cruel. To be made to wait for a spanking intensifies the fear and has about it that “just-you-wait-until-your-father-gets-home” ring. (Or still worse, the dreaded “report to my study at such and such a time” we used to get at school – which left you wondering, waiting, fearing – while an on the spot response was painful but did not include the mental torture). Discipline needs to be administered as soon as possible!
From the spankee point of view, I guess that straight into bed afterwards has something of a comforting feel about it.

Dear Pixie,
Any bedtime spankings I gave were usually because of something that earned one at bedtime. Like most of the other spankings I give, it’s a case of, “You’ve earned one now, so you’re going to get it now.”
The exception to that would be if I was in a public place. Then I’d let the lady now she’s got one coming once we’re in private. I wouldn’t spank her in public.

The ageplay concern is interesting isn’t it? I mean , how young do you have to play before it becomes distasteful for most people? 16…..14….12? It’s a complicated thing. I love a schoolgirl uniform on a woman during a spanking. The operative word being ” woman”. I don’t find teenage girls alluring in the least (quite the opposite in fact, if there is a more annoying creature on the planet….I haven’t met it). However, lets not fool ourselves here. The lack of accountability that most teens feel is their birthright sets the stage beautifully for spanking scenes.
I never get the feeling that PB is depicting anyone under 17 or 18 in their films. Is that a good cutoff? I think so. I would feel very uncomfortable with a clear depiction of a 12 year old in a spanking film….no matter what the age of the actress.

Fot those into the psychological aspect of spanking there is an important aspect of bedtime spanking. Those who are familiar with the concept of “sub space” know that being placed in bed imediately after a spanking leaves the posibility of some very unique (and posibly desirable) time to reflect and acquiesce into a very pleasant nights sleep.
After I posted my first message I was visited by some new friends that I had met about a month ago who had visited the site and after a short visit I agreed to be spanked and put to bed. I can only say that I have no idea how 9 hours of sleep passed so quickly but ….. It was the most wonderful sleep I had in months. I’ll try and write more details later if anyone is interested but …. well, what can I say.

Once while vacationing I was putting my little girl across my lap before bed for the second part of a spanking she’d received while hiking. After a hand spanking on the bare (she was fresh out of the bath tub), I sent her for her hairbrush, only to have her discover she had left it in the car. I considered sending her out as she was to fetch it (what a blush that would have been), only it was raining by then, and pitch black outside the cabin. So I calmly informed her she’d get the rest first thing tommorrow.
Next morning I awoke to her fixing breakfast with a hairbrush on the kitchen table. She asked me very nicely to please paddle her, and I took over my knee on the couch, lowered her pjs and did.

I absolutely love bedtime spankings, but hate waiting. In my ideal world I’d get a bedtime spanking every night, and perhaps one every morning too
There is something so utterly calming and peaceful about drifting to sleep with a warm bottom to me, it just can’t be beat.
That said, I think your post was more about disciplinary bedtime spankings than fun ones, so I’ll add that while I’ve had plenty of those, they weren’t quite of the sort you described. My partner & I live a few hours apart, so there is almost always waiting involved in any punishment spankings. Like you, I manage to work myself up into quite a mess before hand, and I positively hate it! When we are together, though, I pretty much spend the whole day/weekend getting spanked, so while there are plenty of bedtime spankings, they are just a continuation of the rest of the day’s activities and not something I have to dread from the morning on.
Of course, no matter how much I hate the waiting, I have to admit that I also love the anticipation it builds, to a point. I think I’d be terribly disappointed if I got every spanking immediately and never had to wait for anything…

Funbun – That would be some wake up call to be spanked first thing in the morning. I once visited friends of mine who were a spanko couple and the gentleman had to leave very early in the morning for work. Before dawn, I was pulled out of bed and given a hard hand spanking before he left for the day. I was able to then go back to bed, but the adrenaline had kicked in and it was as if I’d downed a few cups of coffee.

Ddon – PJs certainly aren’t for everyone. Nothing is. Just today I received 2 emails with directly conflicting impressions, views, and preferences regarding PB spanking scenes. And so I’m sure that you are not alone in preferring girls to wear things other than pajamas when they are spanked.
Alex – Sleeping on your back would make it extra tough. I hadn’t thought of that as I’m a side sleeper. Your babysitter sure sounded like she knew who the disciplinarian in your household was. I hope you weren’t sent to wait too often … were you?

Brad – These sort of spankings do have a more nurturing air to them. To me, a bedtime spanking makes me feel even more vulnerable than a normal spanking would. If done with the right person and the right tone, that vulnerability can be a positive in allowing for a more emotional and relaxing experience.
Hermione – A little anticipation done right can go a long way in making the experience better and longer lasting.

Justme – Age play is a grey area for me. I suppose I end up doing a fair bit of age play when regularly doing school girl scenes and the like, but I don’t like to get too close to any spanking scenario that would depict anything too child-like or close to my own upbringing. Perhaps because I wasn’t spanked in pajamas, I haven’t built any negative associations, but I certainly can relate. I have plenty of things that squick me out that I prefer not to participate in too.

Winchester – Yeah, there is something comforting about being able to go to bed afterwards. If it’s real punishment, it’s nice to have the cooling down time (and I mean the emotional sort) for both the spanker and the spankee. I think the worst is to be left after a spanking with the orders to come out when composed again. I don’t know why, but that’s much harder to do and I’d find myself slinking out sheepishly much more so than when given a night’s reprieve.
Dr. Ken – That’s pretty much how it is here as well. Usually spankings are given at the time of the incident (or when the aftermath is discovered!). Only when we are out someplace am I told I’ll be getting “dogs” – the codeword we have from the cat toy implement story – later.
Sir Funkytown – Age play is a tricky thing. I am only semi-comfortable with it. I have declines some scene ideas that bordered a little too heavily on the little girl thing and squicked me out. That being said, I have enjoyed many spanking stories that involve age play (the series about rejuvenation is a big fav). Over all I tend to be more comfortable with F/F age play than M/F. Just me though and I haven’t completely sorted out my thoughts and feelings as to why yet.
It’s true that on PB we don’t like to depict scenes that suggest the character is much younger than late teens.

As for Twitter, I signed up just to have the spot reserved if I should choose to do Twitter in the future and so that my name wouldn’t be nabbed by someone else. As you can see, I haven’t opted to actually use Twitter as of yet (I’m bad enough in trying to keep up with MySpace, FetLife, Blogging, and emails), but I may in the future.
Dan – Sweet story! I guess she was either eager to receive her punishment or eager to get it over with.
Emma – What a lovely routine that could be knowing you’d be sent to bed with a warm bottom each night. Who needs warm milk? Warm bottoms are better.
I’d say the majority of my spankings are more of funishment than punishment here at home. While the offenses might be very real and the spankings are too (and quite hard at times!!), I still can say “no” and the spanking won’t be given whereas with strict discipline, I don’t think I’d have quite as much say.
JC – Oh that is a problem. I suppose that gives you more time to enjoy the pleasant view, but that may only exacerbate the situation.

Bedtime spanking scenes are some of my favorite. I always look for them. However, the reality is so much different. My husband and I practice DD and there is nothing worse than waiting until bedtime to be punished for something that happened earlier in the day. It is completely maddening and I am an anxious mess by the time it happens. Worse yet is when I have wound myself up so much by the time it’s supposed to happen and he falls asleep instead! Sometimes our greatest fantasies just do not mesh with the reality. However, sometimes it does.

There’s just something very special about bedtime spankings especially if the person getting it is wearing pj’s. Maybe it’s the thought of knowing there is nothing else under those pj bottoms that makes it exciting. Also knowing that after the spanking, there will be lots of time to reflect upon it as you fall asleep on your tummy to an ever increasing warmth in you bottom. Then the next morning, it’s always a little quieter than usual around the breakfast table, since everyone in the household knows you got a spanking last night. And you know that they know you got it. Really adds something to the mood.
