I’m finally feeling almost healthy again. Cold, flu, I’m not sure which. All I know is that it was a pretty miserable week with both the hubby and I sniffling, coughing, and whining. I still don’t quite have my voice back yet (though I can do a pretty mean imitation of a goose with a bad cigarette habit), I can still type just fine.
I have a fun little panty question for you. I know that I’ve written on the topic of panties quite a bit, rambling on about cut, color, fabric, and more, but a reader left a comment one time that has stuck with me for quite a while. It stated that the panties should always be coordinated to the rest of the outfit - no clashing colors or mismatched patterns.
The notion has gotten in my head and I admit I’ve gotten a little obsessive over it when getting dressed lately. And when doing a shoot? Forget it! I fuss forever trying to figure out which pair of panties go best with an outfit even though more often than not, the panties end up yanked down and out of view before any clashing would be noticed anyway.
So let me ask you. How important is panty-outfit coordination?
A. No mixing plaids and patterns or I will report you to What Not To Wear!
B. Panties are fun and sexy no matter what. Who cares if they match your top.
C. Easy solution. Skip the panties. Bare goes with everything.
D. Other. Let me explain.

I know when I try to match outfits, I try to match my panties, so my initial reaction gotes to A.
However, I know sometimes when I was doing cheerleading, our uniforms didn’t match the Spankiee Panties (hehe, no pun intended, since thats what theyre called) or that the regular panties we wore under the spankeee panties sometimes would show thru.
This happened mostly with the girls who didn’t take proper care of their uniforms.
Usually in those cases, it was solid colors thought for the spankiee panties, and some horrible stripes and plads on the regular panties. made for some interesting locker room banter before or after a game.

Good question.
To me it really is a serious matter as it “upsets” me when I see “mis-matching” pairs of panties (and that happens a LOT).
Personally I prefer white panties as they always seem to match, but even better when a spanking starts straight onto the bare buttocks with the white panties down…
And black panties when the culprit wears black clothes.
White panties make the girl otk look more innocent, they don’t distract the eye too much and it gives me a feel of realism.
Full colored panties kind of ‘disrupt’ the coloring of the buttocks.

I have two women living with me, and let me tell you that matching panties to the outfit is an absolute requirement, even if those panties get yanked down, as you say, or are never seen by anyone. Matching undergarments to outerwear is one of the burdens women must bear (interesting choice of words!) in this life. That’s why Victoria Secrete was invented!

C is definitely the most fun and spank worthy option.
But I think that panty matching depends on the outfit. Formal wear, such as schoolgirl, secretary, important dinner etc, then some co-ordination is mandatory, and a great setup for some otk action! For informal, such as lazing around, day-to-day chores, or just plain brattiness then anything goes! Or, to be more precise, comes down!
I seem to recall a naughty Pixie cheerleader wearing a thong whilst doing her cheers to get the boys’ attention. Really must buy that one of these days. Curse my meagre paycheck!

I like them to be at least somewhat coordinated – color, or fabric, or style-wise – but I’m not as concerned about coordination as much as the overall appropriateness of the panties for the particular outfit. Although PB is very good at with this sort of realism, so I’m not complaining about your choices, Pixie! Mismatched panties are jarring – they take me right out of the scene for a minute. You know, things like brief lacy panties under sweatpants, or skimpy thongs under Catholic schoolgirl uniforms… (Unless that’s going to be the reason for the spanking, of course. )
And I honestly can’t support C as an option – even if the spanking starts with them down, which is my overall preference, I still like the ceremonial baring of the bottom at the beginning.

Gotta go with A, plaid outfits and solid panties. Stripe outfits and solid panties. Solid outfit and stripe panties and no clashing colors, etc. Panty and bra coordination is optional, although panty with no bra or bra with no panty is always a match.

As for your panties question… and please, talk about panties anytime you like… I have to say it’s no biggie if panties don’t match. Usually prefer that they be there (though on rare occasion, finding bare can be an interesting surprise). My thing is… I don’t care for thongs. A pretty pair of panties works great though (patterns are nice), whether or not they match (lol… like I’d know either way!).

For me it depends.
Coordinated works so that the panties are not front and center of attention. A supporting role so to speak. If the scenario is that the panties were expected to be seen at some point, coordinated is best.
Mismatch panties send a message that they weren’t intended to be seen. Like ones thrown on for work around the house or for that date where you positively absolutely have no intention of letting things go far enough that your choice in underwear will be revealed. Probably doesn’t work in stills though.

Since the percentage of people that are supposed to SEE your panties SHOULD be relatively small (unless you are in a buisness like PB) it should be a comfort issue first. Then for those times when your unmentionables (as my grandma called them..LOL) are expected to be scrutinized, it should be pleasant or in accordance with the desires of whomever is viewing them (or whose lap you are across LOL). Unless you expect them to be removed … in which case …. Does it matter? LOL
If I had to chose though … I chose “C”.

Hi Pixie, glad you’re feeling better. Panties are very important when it comes to spanking. They should always (and I do mean ALWAYS) be soundly warmed prior to being tugged down for an embarassing finish! But no, they do not have to match. In fact, I prefer that they don’t. I’m rather old-school in that I like white or pastel colored panties. Traditional undies. No animal prints, metalic prints, brights or earth tones and NO BLACK PANTIES. And no thongs either.

I don’t think you can actually write too often on the topics of panties, costumes, or implements.
I’d have to choose D.: Depends on the situation. If you’re choosing for a video scene, I think you’re absolutely right to be so fussy because you’re a professional and care about the result. You’re trying to create an image which sets the scene for the viewer in an extremely short space of time, and you have to be careful not to disrupt it with things that are inappropriate (like a thong or string bikini under Alice’s or Dorothy’s dress). Even though they may spend the majority of the time “yanked down and out of view,” they will have been seen and at least subconsciously noted.
For play, bare does go with everything but, like any single thing done all the time, gets dull (yup, I said it), so there again matching is better than clashing when feeding the fantasy. For random spankings, though, ya takes yer chances. Comfort doesn’t have to mean boring; all those colors, patterns/prints, and styles exist for good reason.

About that panties question. Since when I spank, I spank mostly over the panties, I feel a bit qualified to comment on this question. I personally think that panties set the entire mood for the spanking session, whether it is just playful, discipline, roleplay, or erotic. I personally prefer the roleplay daddy/daughter spanking scenes. Now, which panties go with which scene? Well, if you are playing a little girl, then the answers are obvious. White cotton panties, or cartoon or flower prints possibly on light pastel colored panties, or perhaps ruffled silky panties like you wore in that Wizard of Oz satire video. Older girls, maybe darker colors on satin, or nylon tricot fabric for example. Now for discipline spankings, basic colors are important. My girl always wears silver satin panties. But probably not a good idea for designs. (rainbows, plaid, stipes, etc.) Save the designs, the signs, the stripes, and multi colored for playful spankings. For erotic, the basic black, or even sometimes red, the lacey panties, and sometimes even the prettiest thongs, (bright colors, or pink works good here when you are talking about thongs) can serve you well. Tho I must confess, Im not that big of a fan of thongs.
And of course, you can never go wrong with Pink Panties. Too me, Pink panties are the more definative spanking panties. Cant hardly pass up on a girl in pink panties. Just know I got to swat her butt till it is at least as pink as the panties are. LOL.
But about your original question, coordinating panties with the rest of the outfit, Not a bad idea. Never thought about it before. But if it were up to me, I would prefer that the color, style, and fabric be left up to the spankee, and should probably be an expression of what she is in the mood for. Like for instance, a discipline, or roleplay, or erotic, or what ever.
Just a few thoughts from a guy who likes spankings followed by hugs.

A.Nonymous – I’m not sure when slips fell out of fashion. I only usually wear one when it’s built in as an underlayer to a dress. I used to wear one on occasion for modesty when wearing a dress/skirt that was a little too sheer in the sun for me or just to prevent cling when wearing hose, but my friends would make fun of me for dressing “like a granny”. Never was a matter of being sexy or not, but it made sense to me to prevent giving a peep show or constantly tugging my skirt down in fighting static cling, but oh well! :-/
