Lotion can be a nice, soothing way to cool off a freshly spanked bottom, but I’m here to warn all of you spankees out there – don’t even think about using Gold Bond body lotion.
I made the mistake of trying some to rehydrate my skin on my legs and bottom … my freshly spanked bottom. Soothes and cools. Relieves and protects. Not after a spanking it doesn’t! There ought to be a disclaimer. I was left hopping around clutching my bottom as the sting grew and grew.
Caveat spankee!
Bottom beware!

Pixie,
I can just see myself running out to sit in the snow after such an experience!
Of course, that’s when the policeman comes driving by and teaches me a lesson in self-discipline….
On another note: I hope you are better after your wisdom teeth ordeal. Thinking of you….:)

pixie dear your poor botty spanks for warning uslove the pics, yes you should have compensation although it might prove difficult showing the evidence lol.love fromtimxx
January 6th, 2009 - 1:57 pm
Yeowwww! How much of the redness is the result of the spanking, and how much from the lotion? Sounds like this is one of those things self-spankers might wish to apply to give themselves a more “just spanked” feeling when they can’t get it to work with an implement (and that’s not a put-down). Has there been any skin damage (as in chemical burn), Pixie, or was it just impacting the raw nerve endings?
January 6th, 2009 - 2:33 pm
What do you call that dance, the well spanked shuffle?
Thanks for the advice, though. So what brand gets the Pixie seal of approval? And what were you spanked for (and with)?
January 6th, 2009 - 2:58 pm
The same thing has happened to me with several different lotions.
A good one I’ve found is Lubriderm – it’s pretty bland. But anything with a fragrance is out. Coco and shea butter work well too!
January 6th, 2009 - 3:00 pm
So where would a concerned spanker not go in order to carefully avoid inadvertently acquiring a sample of such a lotion?
January 6th, 2009 - 5:36 pm
Do you still like that Stasuma cream? If it does work well, it also comes with the added bonus of an orangy pez-like scent. Btw, why would you leave a good thing? Last question: Are the pics old or are you feeling a little better and able to be spanked again? 2Good
January 6th, 2009 - 6:36 pm
Hi pixie Very intersting how gold bond works
maybe a good product for all those times in the corner after a spanking
January 6th, 2009 - 7:41 pm
Aw. Poor Pixie! That’s cruel and unusual. An after spanking dance should come after the spanking but before the lotion.
I could see where a bottle of this lotion might be kept on a shelf somewhere, though, only to be taken down when a certain someone has misbehaved really badly. I make that observation with only the best of intentions.
I hope you’re doing well, Pixie.
January 6th, 2009 - 8:12 pm
Poor dear. Was that particular lotion your idea or his? (hers?)
January 6th, 2009 - 8:26 pm

Ya Gold Bond Burns, I put some on when I got sunburned once. Not a good idea. How are you feeling. did they put you out when they did your dental work
January 6th, 2009 - 9:49 pm
Dear Mrs. Pixie,
This is Dave from Gold Bond writing about your unfortunate issue with one of our products. As our products are not specifically spanko-safe, we apologize for any epidermal issue you appear to have experienced.
As a result, we are sending you 10 cases of all of our Gold Bond products and hope their future use will meet your satisfaction. We also will be testing out the lotion you utilized on our new office intern, as she’s kind of bratty anyway….
Gold Bond

My condolences as to the state of your bottom which you tried to “soothe” only to have it become more injured. Not the way to start a new year.

January 6th, 2009 - 10:45 pm
Yikes! Thanks for the heads (or bottoms) up! I once tried that icy hot stuff. Another spankee no-no. Holy crap… I stood in the shower for half an hour and still couldn’t get it off my skin!
January 7th, 2009 - 12:50 am
“Hahaha!” cried the villainous bottle. “Gold Bond strikes again! Now, away to the next victim.” Then the iniquitous container twirled its evil mustache and swung out of the room through the already broken window, leaving the stunned occupants confused. The End?
January 7th, 2009 - 2:34 am
Yikes! Thanks for the warning! I’ve never tried using lotion afterwards, now I don’t think I ever will!
I’ve also heard that using lotion beforehand prevents you from feeling the sting of a spanking in the first place, which would really take all the fun out of it for the spankee! However, for the spanker, it might be a good idea to put lotion on their hand right before starting. I know for me, my hand tends to be 20 times more sensative than my butt. I can take alot of spanks, but I can only give a few before I’m shaking my hand in pain.
January 7th, 2009 - 2:34 am
Dear Pixie,
I went through the same scenario with the very first lady I ever spanked (about 20 years ago, I believe).
After a spanking on the second day, she asked me to rub some “lotion” on her bottom–a jar of Noxzema! Clearly she’d never used it that way before, or hadn’t read the list of ingredients. I was starting to apply a generous amount to her other cheek when the sting started to intensify, and all of a sudden she was yelling, “Get it off! Get it off!”
A lot of Kleenex removed the excess, and towels soaked in cold water helped provide some relief.
One lady I know swears by the cocoa butter, and it must work….her bottom looks terrific!

Dag. I can’t help notice that everyone is taking notes on this topic but not necessarilly for the same reasons.
Hope your poor bottom is ok now. That’s why I just use arnica.
January 7th, 2009 - 7:10 am
We refer to the Gold Bond as the “Peni Cream” as in the lotion from lurking dragon stories. It is seen as additional punishment not as a soother.
January 7th, 2009 - 8:46 am
Pixie,
I have found that just like in grocery shopping, one must read the ingrediants on the label. I have had some very thoughtful-minded spankers apply some expensive beauty products to my post-spanked bottom and have had simular results. One ingrediant to be aware of is ALCOHOL content.
In one of your movies with Dallas he applied some sort of exfoliation cream. What was your opinion of that?
Love the Blog,
Linde

Interesting: I just wonder – The sting was intensified in the immediate afterspank – but would the longer term effect have been easier? I have mentioned before how at school boys would sit on a hot radiator after a caning: the sting was intensified, but in the longer term the bruising came out more quickly and so the total effect was lessened. But I doubt you (or any of your readers other than a few sadistic tops) would be prepared to experiment!
I hope your toth problem is better and your mouth beginning to return to normal. Take care of yourself.
January 7th, 2009 - 10:36 am
Sorry to hear about your painful experience with Gold Bond, Pixie, but the photos of your sore bottom are as always lovely.
I think it might be a good idea for me to have a bottle in the cupboard for use by my ladies on their well-spanked bottoms when they have been particularly naughty and I want the soreness to continue rather longer than normal. They could apply the lotion to each other’s bottom and then I could watch the ensuing dance!!!
Take care.

Pixie,
This is something I just wanted to share. You might already know about it. It’s a website with lots of kitten pictures:

Here’s to playing dressup!

Oh wow, yes, definitely not a good idea. Gold Bond’s good for other things, but not for use on a freshly spanked bottom. We used to get issued a can of the powder before fire season at my old fire department, so trust me, it’s the voice of experience speaking here.
January 7th, 2009 - 11:20 pm
Anything that you would put on sore joints is out.
When I was in CA my (vanilla) friend was lotioning me up very well, and his thumbs grazed the insides of my cheeks and some more *cough* sensitive areas. 10 seconds later, I was nearly crying. He was nice enough to drive me out to buy arnica cream.
I thought it would help on sore muscle stuff and all…never again. I am super careful now!
January 7th, 2009 - 11:54 pm
Pixie, the lady who answered my personel ad, I used Lubraderm (not sure of the spelling) after the spanking, she did not like it because it made for bottom feel greasy. If she comes back I’ll try something else. Keep on sending out blogs I can relate to. Tom
January 8th, 2009 - 10:01 pm
Hmmm…sounds like a good idea for an added punishment for times when someone is extra naughty.
January 9th, 2009 - 3:03 pm
I don’t have much sympathy here. A spanking is supposed to hurt and I’ve always thought the spankee should have to experience the sensation to it’s fullest. If you’ve been spanked so hard it’s still stinging when you’re doing corner time then you must have deserved it and should take your medicine. I think soothing lotion is tantamount to cheating. I would have thought this warranted a further spanking – however your discovery provides another interesting remedy and any soothing creams I discover being used will now be replaced with this excellent product.
January 9th, 2009 - 3:21 pm
While lotions and oils can seal in the heat by coating the skin. Your troubles probably stems from the “medicated” feature of the lotion. Menthol and inflamed skin, bad combination. Coupled with a long lasting lotion, very bad. Although it sounds like many a lady will regret your find since your warning is being turned into an opportunity for a more intense spanking experience by some.
Long ago, in a time of boredom, I tried to design a massage lotion during a period of interest in aromatherapy. I mixed together Jojoba, macadamia nut and wheat germ oil. Each oil very close to the sebum of the skin so easily and quickly absorbed. Only limited success as a massage oil due to the rapid absorption but very good for moisturizing burns without sealing in the heat and dry skin.
Each of the oils work well alone but combined in equal proportions with a few drops of essential oils such as geranium (good for burns) or clary sage (good for calm), you’ll have nice soft skin and the heat of the spanking will produce a nice aromatherapy session for the spankee.

Pixie great to have the very lovely Julliette back receiving very big spanks from the doyen of naughty girl spankers Chelsea looking great .also Lilyanne fussing over her spanks fromPaul great Pixieand a hint of yet another lovely spankeejoining p.b. love to you fromTim xx

Dani – I think the snow might have made it all the more intense at that point. There is menthol or something in the lotion that has a cooling yet burning effect. Even moving seemed to intensify the sensation. Ick!
Tim – That would be a tricky claim to file, eh?
^Mike – I think the redness was mostly from the spanking. The lotion just brightened it up a little by moisturizing the skin, but it did not result in any sort of actual chemical burn. I think it’s along the same lines as the cooling gel Dallas has used to intensify for the sting of his spankings in some scenes (as if they need to sting more!!!). It just stings, cools, burns, and tingles like the dickens, but it’s safe from a medical standpoint..
D – The spanky shuffle at super speed! Pixie still stands behind Body Shop’s Body Butter. No sting and deep moisturizing. Curel is pretty good too.
I was spanked by hand and a bit of a hairbrush shaped paddle for pushing limits and doing too much. I was supposed to be still taking it easy and apparently taking down all of the Christmas lights (from the roof, etc), hauling out the ladder and putting the decorations up in the attic, and hiking the Christmas tree into the woods does not meet everyone’s definition of resting.
Marie – Trial and error in these cases sure can sure be a painful lesson, can’t it? Mild lotions like Lubriderm from now on.
Al – Spankers are to avoid such places as the health and beauty sections of Rite Aid and Walmart at all costs. There are far too many things they might accidentally pick up (such as bathbrushes) in addition to stingy lotions.
2Good – I love the Satsuma cream. My husband says I smell like a bowl of oranges though. I don’t think that’s such a bad thing.
The pics are brand new. I’m feeling better and clearly my grace period as far as spank-free naughtiness is up too.
fred – a spankee certainly wouldn’t be bored while standing there focusing on the intense fire on her bottom
dana – I think that lotion will remain on the shelf for a long time. I didn’t even like the sensation on my unspanked legs.
JC – It was my idea. I thought the super intense formula would help not only soothe my skin but also treat that pesky winter dryness. Oops.
RTG – Hmph!!!
Duncan – So you know my pain then! I wasn’t put out for my dental work. I just had a lot of Novocain. I think I may have left claw marks on the arm rest of the dental chair.
Dave – 10 cases of Gold Bond. Oh no!! I think I’ll have to share with many naughty friends.
Charlie – well, it was certainly a warm way to start off.
Chloe – Icy hot??? Whoa. That is serious stuff. Better off to have the sore spanked muscles.
Pygmalion – Super Pixie swoops in and defeats the evil Gold Bond with the help of her friend, Recycling Day.
TigerLily – Some lotions are nice, some are not. This one was all naughty.
I totally disagree that lotion prevents the sting. Anything that increases the moisture on your skin’s surface is going to make it worse. A wet bottom spanking is incredibly painful. Don’t try it. Take my word!
Dr. Ken – Cocoa butter is very soothing and helps keep the skin supple. I’ve never tried Noxzema on my skin before, but based on your account, I think I’ll keep I that way.
007 – Here I am trying to post a nice warning and meanie tops are taking notes for the wrong reasons. I pre-apologize to any spankees who may have to endure Gold Bond in the future.
Jon – At first I misread “peni” for something else! But I know the stories you mean with the Penitatas, right? Gold Bond is certainly an added punishment in my book.
Linde – Dallas has used several things in my spankings with him. The first time he used an after-sun cooling lotion which had a similar sensation to the Gold Bond, but actually helped sooth a little because of the numbing agent in it … not that it mattered much when Dallas’ hand and strap collection came flying at my bottom. The second time around he exfoliated my bottom using a sea salt scrub to remove any last tiny layer of protection from my skin. And the third time he treated my bottom with Vitamin E which keeps the skin moist (increases sting) and also increases the impact of the implements by increasing the drag time across a sticky surface. Please keep Gold Bond away from Dallas.
Winchester – I’m not sure if it really helped in the long term. My bottom was still tingling when I went to bed but thankfully was fine by the next morning.
Aristotle – Your poor ladies!! I know they can be quite naughty, but spare them!
Fireman Chris – The powder acts the same way? Did the cooling sensation actually feel good when in hot environments? Better than when the skin itself is a hot environment?
Marie – Ow! Not good when stingy stuff is introduced to such delicate skin – whether the skin is spanked into a delicate state or errrr … it just is that way naturally. *cringes in sympathy*
Tom – Another vote for Lubriderm. Good to know. Don’t want a greasy nor a burning bottom.
Cyberdad – If that’s the case, I plan on being very, very good for a long time to come.
James – I totally agree that a spanking is supposed to hurt. This experience was an accidental additional punishment though as normally for me, once the spanking is done, all is forgiven.
Nikolai – Yes, the menthol is to blame for the cooling/burning sensation. No more! Your concoction sounds delightful. Not only moisturizing and good for the skin, but aromatherapy all in one? You should market it as a post-spanking potion.
January 11th, 2009 - 2:54 pm
Actually, I’ve been using Go-Jo for years and never had a complaint. You can get it at your local auto parts store. I think that they now have Go-Jo with aloe too.
January 12th, 2009 - 8:38 pm
Pixie…you should try using Capzacin cream sometime on a spanked bottom……very evil grin
January 17th, 2009 - 12:36 pm
Yes, I used it quite every day when I was in Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina, and most experienced firefighters swear by it during the big wildland fires we have out here. Without being too graphic, it definitely helps to keep from getting heat rash where you don’t want heat rash.
January 18th, 2009 - 12:54 am
Both Israeli-made Ahava creams (Hebrew for “love or loving”) and L’occitane hand cream are excellent for apres-spanking. Marie (Kate James) is correct about shea butter and the latter named product contains a significant quantity of it.

OMG. . . . .Pixie, your poor thing. Yeah, I’ve had this horrendous concoction called “Tiger Balm” applied to the backs of my legs after a long spanking. . . . . I like to have flown! The sensation is 50 times worse than the spanking itself. . . . . it’s crazy, for sure. *huggss* Sorry about that one, Pixie!
