I had a wonderful holiday. It was so nice to spend time with family and also get away to a slightly warmer climate for a few days. I love the idea of a white Christmas, but leaving behind the foot or so of snow and ice at home was no hardship.
My Christmas was decidedly vanilla as I was with family, but there are many facets to life to enjoy and treasure beyond just spanking. I did however pick up some short plaid skirts to add to my collection while doing a little after Christmas shopping with my mom, and they will no doubt find their way into scenes, photos, and private play. For now though, my purchases are passably vanilla as my mom just smiles at my plaiddiction and even helps keep an eye out for more cute items.
Now that I’m back home, I’m eager to get settled in again so that I can catch up on site stuff as well as carve out time to play with all of the fun things from Santa. Perhaps I can get a little belated holiday bottom warming too for being naughty … or nice … or both. :) I need to fit in some extra fun this weekend before I face the rather unpleasant ordeal of having my wisdom teeth yanked and a bone graft performed. I really don’t see what is so “wise” about wisdom teeth if they can’t even figure out the correct way to grow in without messing up my jaw bone. >:( It may end up therefore being a quiet New Year’s for me, but at least I’ll be on the mend by then and I can always enjoy some egg nog sipped through a straw … along with the rest of my meal!

Pixie,
Oh..the joys of plaid!
More seriously: I’ll be thinking of you as you face the wisdom teeth experience. I’ve had similar problems..gets better with time.
Glad you had a nice Xmas.
December 28th, 2008 - 1:23 am
So sorry to hear that you will be going through the wisdom teeth extraction. It is not fun. Good luck!
December 28th, 2008 - 1:24 am
I guess the problem is that we’re smart enough now to take care of our regular adult teeth, so that they’re still in place when the wisdom teeth come in — unlike our “wise” ancestors whose teeth had rotted and / or been extracted by that point. Good luck, Pix; we’re all, um … pulling for you? (Sorry.) Can we look forward to a picture of Pixie the Chipmunk, before all the swelling goes down?
I’m glad you had a peaceful and pleasant Christmas with your family. Take care, and be well.
December 28th, 2008 - 2:16 am
I hope you can get through your procedure as quickly as I did. Just remember soft food and lots of rest with minimal talking.
The first two days are the worst of all of it.
December 28th, 2008 - 3:49 am
Owie. There’s never a good time to get wisdom teeth worked on
Just glad you have hubby and family by your side. HUGGGGGGGGGS Hope it goes well Pixie. Any moral support you need is there from your fans
December 28th, 2008 - 3:54 am
Awfully glad to hear your brief vacation with family was so wonderful, along of course as was Christmas! Good to have you “back” among us. We will always miss you, even if it’s only for a few days.
Sorry to hear about the wisdom teeth. I know it can be quite an ordeal, so I’m hoping that yours will come out with a minimum of problems and much less pain.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! despite those doggone wisdom teeth.

Ouch!! Your poor mouth sounds like it’ll be in quite some pain.
I love shopping with people that just don’t know what you’re buying certain things for. It makes it that much more exciting.
Well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from a new reader!

Welcome back Pixie!
It is great to hear that you had a wonderful Christmas. I look forward to reading your blog throughout the coming year.
Oh and I wish you a speedy end to wisdom teeth pain and I must say you make a very good point about them. They are not very wise at all…

My condolences. I remember the 24 hours after my wisdom tooth extraction as the most miserable I have ever been. Be sure you have lots of extra gauze pads on hand. My teeth oozed blood for quite a while afterward, and though I was knocked out on painkillers, I would wake up periodically to spit out blood-soaked gauze and throw up. But you’ll get through it and the worst will be over soon.

Hello Pixie!
I love your blog! I discoverd it a month or two ago, and have enjoyed “lurking” over the last few weeks. Its so fun to come accross someone who shares my interest in nature, photography, cats, and ofcourse, spanking!
The story about shopping for plaid skirts with your mom made me laugh. I remember one year, going home and Christmas shopping with my mom, where I came accross a hairbrush in some fancy shop. It was really pretty and it had massaging bristles for your scalp and everything, but it also had a large, flat, wooden back to it that made me think of other things besides brushing my hair! My mom bought the brush for me, having no idea it would have a double use. But I’m pretty sure the saleswoman saw me flip it over and tap on the back with my fingernails to see how thick it was! The whole thing was just weird!
Good luck with your wisdom teeth extraction, I hope you heal fast. Many happy wishes for the New Year! Thanks for a great blog!
December 28th, 2008 - 11:50 pm
Pixie. I enjoy your blog and glad to know there are people out there who share the same fantasies I have in the scene. Happy holidays Tom
December 29th, 2008 - 1:39 am
Ouch. I had all four out at the same time when I was 16. They were growing in sideways! Remember, the pain meds are your friends. If I know you, the toughest part will be no workouts for a little while. But you’ll heal quickly, being young and healthy.
December 29th, 2008 - 2:37 am
Glad you had a nice vacation with your family. Sorry to hear bout the upcoming dental work. You may be doing more sipping and chewing for a few days. At least you have your husband there to comfort and support.
Happy New Year anyway.
December 29th, 2008 - 8:43 am
I hate having teetgh extracted – whatever sort they may be! So I shall be very much with you in thought! I am far less than certain about sipping egg nog throuhg a straw! (Now a good Malt whisky, with its proven healing quality, might be a different thing
Glad Christmas wentg well for you – but what ever does your mother think you do with all these short plaid skirts? And what fun play things did Santa bring? And how did youhide them from the family – or explain them away as the case may be? Enjoy them, anyway!
December 29th, 2008 - 9:08 am
It’s great to hear that you had a wonderful Christmas. Not so good about the dentist, though.
When you’re at the dreaded surgery, just keep in mind all the fun things you’re planning for the New Year. How about the long honeymoon for starters? Have you decided where to go yet?
December 29th, 2008 - 4:21 pm
Glad you had a good if vanilla Christmas, good luck with the teeth. Get well soon.

Poor Pixie! Wisdom teeth removal can be painful I’m sure, but a bone graft too? What have you done to yourself girl?
Anyway, Happy New Year and love the new pic, and may both trials come and go as painlessly as possible!
December 29th, 2008 - 10:46 pm
I had my wisdom teeth extracted on two separate occasions (guess I wasn’t wise enough to avoid it). The first time, they used gas and all I remember was the mask going on, then coming off. Done. I was ready to go the moment I left the chair, and had a pizza on the way home. The second time was the old fashioned way: (not quite) numb and yank. Still, I don’t recall any bad side-effects or lingering pain, just the inability to contain a sip of (Diet) Coke and literally being a dribbling idiot everywhere I went for an hour or so. Fortunately, I had friends nearby to mock me and make sure every slurred word was loudly pointed out.
Good luck with your surgery and I hope you feel better real soon.
December 30th, 2008 - 3:28 am
Pixie–

You know that somebody, somewhere, somehow is going to try and blame your dental problems on Diet Coke….
Have fun sipping Champagne on New Year’s Eve through a twisty straw!
Hugs and spanks,
Dr. Ken

So sad that you have to go through that. Some diet coke but no bubble gum for you! I lived on green pear-flavored apple sauce for a week. It’s certainly better than green beans! Don’t let anyone force you to eat solids until YOU are ready. That took me 6 days and had no complications! Do you like the extra attention? I am sure you will be well taken care of by your hubby and others. Be sure to rest and take your meds so you aren’t in pain. >:) If you feel good, rest anyway because you have earned it!! I know you will come through it because you take such good care of yourself and you are young! (((((HUGS))))) 2Good
December 30th, 2008 - 10:32 am
Welcome back spankalicious!! Hope you are not in too much pain this morning :-/ Feel better soon!!
December 30th, 2008 - 1:05 pm
Good luck with the wisdom teeth…that ain’t fun. Ice packs every 30 min, salt water (blech), and general soreness are a PITA in a non-pleasant fashion. May your dentist prescribe you some wonderful drugs.
Glad you had a good holiday. Looking forward to hearing from you in the new year.
December 30th, 2008 - 1:21 pm
I hope you’re feeling well, Pixie. Big hugs.
December 30th, 2008 - 8:13 pm
dani – I should have stocked up on plaid Christmas paper as well with all of the after holiday sales. Plaid, plaid, everywhere!
Stef – This is definitely no fun. I had some complications and could only get one side done – good news, I have a side left to chew on, bad news, I have to go back and do this again!
Jeff – Oh, I think I will do us both a favor and avoid facing the camera for a while. I look less like a cute chipmunk and more like a bruised potato. Where’s a good cave to hide in when you need it?
Joe – Yogurt, bananas, and movies On Demand are my friends.
007 – You’re right. I don’t think there is ever a good time for this. I suppose I put it off long enough as it is though.
gramps78 – I’m glad to be home, but I miss my family already. Wish I could clone myself and be in both places at once.
Lucy – Yes, I am in some pain, but lots of ice, rest, and some meds (that make me a complete goofball) are helping immensely.
Shopping is fun no matter what!
Ed – I wish the “wisdom” had skipped me too.
Tim – I had a wonderful time with my parents.
Nyssa is a phenomenal fusser. Lily Anna’s debut will be Friday. Good stuff!!
Mitch – Thank you! Hope you have a great New Year too.
Duncan – I wasn’t put out unfortunately. At times I wish I was, but overall it was ok. I’m just not looking forward to having to go back and do it all again on the other side. I wish I’d thought to ask for pudding. I have some rice pudding lurking in the fridge, but I’m pretty sure it’s nearly old enough to be enrolled in kindergarten.
Schwarz – Thank you! I hope you’ll find lots and lots to enjoy here in 2009.
Southern Expat – At this point, I can totally empathize with your experience. Ugh.
TigerLily – Oh, I’d have blushed so badly if there was a chance I might have been caught by the saleswoman. I probably would have rambled on nervously asking a million questions about the features of the massaging bristles in a lame attempt of throwing her off. Have you put the brush to good use though? For either purpose?
Tom – Thanks. Glad you enjoy my blog and I’m so happy that we can meet online like this to know we are far from alone in our interests.
Erica – You know me too well. It’s been only a little over 24 hours and I’m already having workout withdrawal.
Charlie – I’m becoming highly skilled in sipping and sleeping.
I think it will be a very sluggish New Year.
Winchester – Malt whisky! Whew! I won’t feel any pain then.
My mom doesn’t think anything odd about my love of short plaid skirts. I made sure to buy some more conservative outfits as well just for variety, but my mom has no problem with me liking cute clothing and has been known to buy some of my favorite little skirts and dresses!
Steve (UK) – Yep, we’re all set for our honeymoon. The main trip at least is booked and now we have the fun part of deciding what little side trips to do. That will be a nice thing to focus on instead of icky teeth.
Prefectdt – Thank you!!
D – Yes, the bone graft isn’t as terrible as it sounds, but does add quite a lot to the swelling and bruising. No fun.
^Mike – The idea was to get them all taken care of at once, but unfortunately I’m going to have to have it done in two stages due to complications. My pain is being mediated by the medication, but I sound (and look) like I am storing large gumballs in my cheeks.
Dr. Ken – My beloved Diet Coke?! It’s been framed I tell ya.
2Good – Nope, no gumballs for a while. Such a shame as I received quite a few as Christmas presents and even gum filled candy canes (gotta love food science).
The hubby is taking good care of me and making me lots of scrambled eggs. He is even choosing to overlook my habit of dousing them in ketchup.
Richard – Thank you pup!! Hope to chat soon.
JC – The dentist sent me off with a handful of scripts. When dropping them off at the pharmacy, the girl asked how soon I’d need them. I said, “before the novocaine wears off. *drool*”. Quickest fill I ever got!
Dana – Thank you. Feeling rather icky at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll bounce back in just a few days more.

I enjoy your website. I think the folks at pb are very lucky to have great jobs like that. I would do it for nothing. Happy new year. Tom
