Kat - Oh a smirk. I think that gets points for smallest movement with the biggest impact. :)

Linde - Terrible isn't it how we end up getting spanked for simply looking around the room. Merely being observant and vigilant. Never know when a ninja might descend from the ceiling.

Dr. Ken - Should we get the chance to meet face to face, I'll have to remember to adopt that stance.

tim - sometimes it does!

dani - when the lecture is stern enough and well earned, that is one time I don't dare sass back. I become very submissive.

Chloe - Sorry!!! Didn't mean to. :( It's our psychic connection at work again.

Sarah - You are a brave one!!!

MKB - I've tried claiming that a sigh that escapes is really just a sudden need for a deep breath. If I ever had the pleasure of being spanked by you, I don't guess that one would fly? :)

lispy - You have many practiced techniques! I can only imagine how quickly you might be looking at the carpet if you used a few of them at one go.

Erica - Give up bratting?! Don't ever do that. Stay far, far away from Botox if for no other reason. The world would be a lot more sad and boring if you ever had to stop bratting.

Todd & Suzy - Yup. If I don't quit it, my eyes are going to pop right out of my head and roll across the floor one day.

naughty boy - Smart remarks will do it too. Of course I kind of like the non-verbal cues too because then I can give a good shocked response of, "what? I didn't say anything!" and mean it.

Dreams of Horses - Oh yes, the talking hand. :) I like to accompany that gesture with the "wahw wahw wahw" sound the adults made in Peanuts.

Serial Spanker - Sounds like you and your girl are on the same wavelength and don't need any hints or cues at all!

2Good - I am taking notes and will let you know the end result. Would you like to take a scientific educated guess on how the experiment might turn out?

Winchester - LOL!!

Brad D. - Thank you :) We spankees and spankers may have different approaches, but we seem to happily end up with achieving the same goal.

Dave - Oooh! Walking away. That is ballsy. Of course it could lead to a fun chase and tackle. *Adds to list of techniques to try.

Chelsea - You indeed have a lovely eye rolling technique. Your eyes are so expressive whether they are saying "oh please", "you're in trouble", or "happy, happy!" And while as the anonymous person below posted, that is actually the back of Susan's head in the photo, I know I've done an eye roll or seven with you and regretted it every time!

Anonymous - I can personally vouch that boredom is never an issue when getting spanked by Chelsea. And one of the things I love when hearing her lecturing a girl during the spanking is when she taunts the girl by mimicking her whining.

Chelsea, it's not my place to say, but I think that's Susan in the scene where Pixie misbehaves in church. However, I doubt anyone you spank could ever be bored at all, what with all those great scoldings you give during. Too bad you don't make audio tapes of them by topic (e.g., failing a class or breaking curfew) for all those self-spankers out there to incorporate into their maternal discipline fantasies. Just a thought. Keep up the great work.

The eye roll works for me, either when I do it, or when I see it. I notice the person you're eye-rolling in the picture you posted is me... Hope you weren't as bored once you were, "staring at the carpet." ;-)

Probably another would be walking away when being talked to or lectured. That definitely earns a trip over the knee a lot quicker.Throwing a attitude fit at me for no reason also would earn a long bare bottomed spanking. I did that to a girlfriend of mine shortly after we started dating.

I love your blog, Pixie.

I enjoy your analytical view of spankings. Seeing the eye roll as moving things along, that is pretty funny.

Of course, spankees as a class probably have better senses of humor than spankers, who seem to always want to get down to business and take trivial matters so seriously.

Perhaps it could all be summed up in the ominous "Don't you dare look at me in that tone of voice!"

I had a guy friend who'd say things which would earn him an eye roll from me...but just for fun. I had my own special variation. 1. The tongue click.
2. The over-dramatic sigh. 3. The eye roll. The funny thing was he would actually encourage me and if I didn't do all 3 in order he'd ask me to do it again. I'd say feel free to borrow my technique anytime, but I have a feeling you don't need any of my ideas! You are plenty naughty on your own!

For me spanking has always been a highly sensual/sexual act, sometimes resulting in orgasm for one or both of us during a particularly hot OTK session. If my baby's been a "bad girl" and needs to be punished then that's just icing on an already delicious cake and adds to the intensity of the moment. But she knows she's going to get spanked whether she's been a good girl or not because her red cheeks excite her as much as it does me. So I guess my answer to your question is that she doesn't need to do anything to earn or invite a spanking, because her cheeks stay red most of the time anyway. And although we're a middle-aged couple, the almost overwhelming heat that's generated by my spanking her gives us the raw lust and passion of a pair of teenage newlyweds.
But no matter what you're reaction to spanking I highly recommend it as potentially powerful aprhodesiac -- provided that you and your mate are willing and enthusiastic participants.

The eye roll is a definite signal to take matters in hand, and another, which you’re really good at, Pixie, is the wisecrack or “smart remark” made under the breath. Then there’s the ever-popular hand held up beside the ear, crab-claw fashion, mimicking a person talking. It’s so nice to see that hand re-employed a short while later desperately trying to protect a flaming bottom. Not so much to say now, hmmm, Miss Hand?

Sarcasm is a ticket to a quick trip OTK, as are annoyed groans. A friend (non-partner) I had in college once admitted that, growing up, her widowed father had spanked her on average about once a week. The main reason? Talking back when he was lecturing or scolding her. A partner told me that the grandmother who raised her used to make threats of an impending paddling by starting with “If you don’t…” and ending with the phrase, “…or you’ll know the reason why!” Once she reached her early teens, she could no longer resist challenging this grammatical error, with the predictable result. Knowing what to expect when that particular button was pushed, I made sure to incorporate that phrase into any lecture I knew was going to be continued OTK. I never let her get out of the lecture, but her long sighs and groans of annoyance were soon replaced with much sweeter sounds.
