Yesterday was an absolutely perfect day to be outdoors. Sunny, warm, not humid, not buggy, just right. Couldn’t pick a better day to go for a hike, so that’s just what we did. My boyfriend and I headed to Bushkill Falls. We saw all eight beautiful waterfalls and hiked all of the trails … and then some as we got turned around a couple of times.
The spray from the cascading waterfalls was so refreshing. Even though it was only in the mid-70s, it still got pretty hot out there hiking in the sun.
Saw a few critters on our journey. This handsome frog …
and this dragonfly which had just emerged from its larval exoskeleton. So cool.
At the gift shop, they sell a sticker suggesting hiking naked to get a little color on the ol’ bottom.
Well, I don’t know about hiking nude, but a quick bare bottom moment is possible at a quiet spot along the trail.
Mr. Bear though says he has other ways to give the cheeks a little color.
On our way back home we stopped at a little zoo and snake farm. We spent two hours and probably triple our admission fee feeding the monkeys, deer, goats, pigs, and lemurs.
You could bottle feed some of the animals. By the third bottle, this not-so-little guy began to recognize me and would stand up on the railing and yell for me to hurry up.

I have discovered through vast and scholarly research (wikipedia) that “lemur” is derived from the Latin “lemures”. I presume we all remember our grade school Latin, but for sake of course, “lemures” means “spirits of the night”. This appellation was likely applied because of the reflective nature of the primate’s eyes due to the creature’s tapetum lucidum, not unlike that of the common house cat.

P.S. I’ve never seen a prettier girl get spanked by a bear. I hope you held strong and refused to tell the bear the location of your picnic basket.

My, my. What would a forest be without a bare… Pixie? Did you notice that the bear you posed with had a different colored head than its body? Maybe it was “in season” sometime back and now the original head adorns some “collector’s” wall – right next to the head of someone’s plastic reindeer!
Did you find that the air around the falls was also noticeably cooler, too?

Zoo and snake farm? Yikes. The pot-bellied pig is adorable (I think that’s what that is.) and the handsome frog, too. As for snakes, I always skip the reptile house at the zoo.

You know, Pixie, that a glimpse of your superb bare bottom makes my day.
I agree that there are more enjoyable ways……for the spanker…….of adding colour to those cheeks of yours!

Only in NJ can you find those wooden bears…lol!
I remember hiking up at Bushkill falls with my aunt many years ago. And also swimming at the bottom of one of the falls at Buttermilk falls. Beautiful area, that’s for sure.
Cute animals, there’s a small farm near where I grew up, family run, all that good stuff. Was the hot spot for first grade class trips!

Great pictures, Pixie, and it sounds like a nice way to have spent the day. My Saturday was much more mundane…a lot of errands, all of them necessary but none that would qualify as “fun”….

Q: How can one possibly improve on the scenic beauty of Nature, as experienced in an idyllic forest setting on a warm spring day?
A: By adding Pixie’s beautiful bare bottom to the scenery! (I’ve always considered a young woman’s bottom to be one of the Divine Sculptor’s finest works of art — and yours certainly supports that notion!)
Also, as a big enthusiast of reptiles, amphibians, and arthropods, I thank you for showing that you’re not prejudiced against the non-furry animals.

Your post actually inspired me to get out and enjoy Griffith Park, here in L.A….It’s within walking distance of my place and if you hit the right trail it go on forever. Unfortunatley today the view was of smoke billowing from Universal Studios which was on fire. Buy other than that it was a great trek. Thanks for the inspiration…lol

PallidBust – Thank you for the lesson on lemurs. They are one of my favorite animals. And I would have been happy to share a bite of my pre-hike cheeseburger (see Chelsea? I learned my lesson!) with the bear if he’d asked.

JHThree – We toured the reptile portion too … including the 16 foot reticulating python exhibit! But since they were safely tucked behind glass, they didn’t make the best photo subjects.
I did in fact buy the sticker. It’s quite small though.
