why did the doc set the needle so far up. it would be much more convenient to shoo it into the softer spots, thus reducing the after-pains. maybe doc is a bit on the sado side though ;)

I've been away from your blog for a few days (slapped wrist) and I didn't realise what a rough time you've had. I hope you're better now, and the experience doesn't discourage you from keeping up with the gardening.
Still, it seems like your bottom escaped the nasty rashes, which I guess is the most important thing!

Hi Pix! Congrats on discovering your green(ish) thumb; Hugs for the poison ivy and the sore bum! (Now you never have to be embarrassed about any of your rhymes again.) Thanks for sharing the adorable picture ... oh, yeah, the garden ones are lovely, too!

For me, thinking about shots in the fanny has almost the same type of effect on me as enjoying a spanking fantasy. (And in RL, if I ever needed an IM injection and was given the choice, I would always request to get it in the bum, explaining that I don't have much meat on my shoulders and don't feel like having my arm movement compromised for a day or so. It helps that that's actually true; but, sadly, I usually don't get to choose.) I think the common "trigger" is the idea of baring one's bottom to an authority-type figure, and nervously anticipating something painful, but "for your own good."

In contrast, I take it from what you've said (and what you haven't said) that the shot thing doesn't "do anything" for you, beyond the medical benefit. Despite our commonalities, we're all different.

Anyway, best of luck with the garden ... and may your adorable little bottom get the "green light" for bilateral spankings again as soon as possible! Take care.

Hi Pixie........so sorry to hear about your sore bum (sic)! ........but delighted that you have been able to provide a view of the plaster where you had the injection. As ever, the sight of your lovely bottom has made my day!

I'm also pleased, of course, that you've discovered that you're somewhat green-fingered and so will have great pleasure this year in seeing lovely things growing. But, as far as I'm concerned, if I want to see sights of outstanding natural beauty I need to look no further than your delightful bum and the bums of my two ladies.......

I'm just getting off oral prednisone. It's nasty stuff and I don't ever want to take it again. It makes my heart pound in my chest and keeps me up at night. Fortunately, I was only on it for nine days. It did work but at a price.

For poison ivy, I use Technu wash if I think I have come in contact with the plant. This will mitigate an outbreak but do nothing once you have it. After I have an outbreak, I use Zanfel cream. It is the only thing I have tried that will reduce an already present outbreak.

You did need the prednisone. You can't use topical creams in your eye and once it gets in the bloodstream it can pop up anywhere on your skin. I didn't know this when I had my first outbreak on my arms. A few days later the rash appeared on my butt. Since I don't go outside bare bottom (unlike some people I know), the urishrol had traveled through my blood to other interesting areas.

Good luck with the recovery.

Sorry to hear about the reaction to Poison Ivy - I don't klnow about the drug, but what a good job you were able to go to the doctor without a heavily striped/marked bottom! That might have taken quite a bit of very clever explaining - especially if the latest (and recent)implement had been the blue crop. I am sure the b/f will be able to target the right cheek quite adequately until the effect of tghe injection has passed:-)

Glad yhour garden is taking shape. I am no gardener but I jhave often dreamed of being able to grow things - and would especially like to be able to grow vegetables like green beans (which I love).

Young lady--the good doctor INSISTS! (At least, I think I do--can't read my handwriting on this prescription pad....)

Pixie,

Sorry about the poison ivy.

As a kid I learned to watch out for those three leaved plants.

"Leaves of three, let it be."

The "Leaves of three" warning works as a reminder for poison oak as well I think.

I don't know if mosquitoes would also be an issue where you are but down here in Maryland, they can be a problem in the evening later in the season.

Still gardening can be a lot of fun.

Enjoy your gardening adventures.
