Happy Halloween! It probably comes as no surprise that I love Halloween. A holiday that involves ghosts, candy, and costumes? What more could you ask for?
It’s always a challenge to decide what to be for Halloween. There are so many cute costumes
that picking just one is harder than eating just one piece of candy corn.
After changing my mind (and my outfit) multiple times, I settled on being a naughty pirate. While it’s definitely not a suitable costume to wear to hand out candies to trick or treaters, I wore it around the house today just for fun. I had to change back into a more family friendly look of jeans and an orange top for now, but will be changing back later tonight when my boyfriend and I head out for a party.
After being away last week and then very busy the past couple of days, I wasn’t sure I’d have a chance to carve a pumpkin in time. But it wouldn’t be Halloween with at least one jack-o-lantern, so I got to work and made one this afternoon.
I made a cat-o-lantern actually.

I remember a character in some TV show saying the above was what they used to say back in his boyhood days in Scotland rather than “trick or treat”. Who says TV isn’t educational?
A cat-o-lantern? I love it! That’s really amazing! And your pirate outfit looks fantastic–or you look fantastic in your pirate outfit. Or maybe both….
But–only one smack on the booty? Maybe if you went from door to door in the neighborhood and told them what you wanted for your Halloween “treat”…..

Love the Pirate Pixie! But no matter what costume you pick, if your bottom is in it, I think it should be spanked just because. You’d be the naughtiest angel around with a red butt glowing through your gown.

You could have handed out candy as a naughty pirate. lol… would have been a nice treat for some of those wary dad’s walking their kids around. And as long as you handed out good candy, the kids wouldn’t even notice.

007 – Got a few spanks and candy too, though we had so many trick-or-treaters that I almost had to break into my private stash of Hershey Kisses to keep up with the demands. Next year I’m giving out green beans and keeping the chocolate for us.

Todd & Suzy – I had changed into my red riding hood costume, but then got nervous about even that as I saw the first cluster of kids and parents walking up the street. I guess I was hit by a sudden wave of shyness. I did enjoy getting dressed up in the afternoon and then again later that night freezing my tail off at the party (I didn’t realize it would be out on the deck with only one heat lamp!).
