As I promised Dallas in preparation for my upcoming shoot with him, I’m working on re-establishing my tan lines. My friend kindly allows me to hang poolside at her place to soak up some sun. Her neighbors aren’t quite as nosey as mine … I think.
Her dog joined me outside but wanted to know why I was just lying there and not playing frisbee with her. You’ll be happy to know that I couldn’t resist her cute nudges and tossed the frisbee to her until she decided it was too warm to play in all that black fur and went to rest in the shade.
Looks like I’m making some progress. I have to be careful though. I don’t tan easily and I don’t want to end up burnt to a crisp.
Time for a dip in the pool to cool off after all that sun and frisbee-ing. And about those neighbors … let’s hope they weren’t outside when I took this last picture just in case.
As great as the sun feels shining down on me, I can’t help but feel guilty and a little worried that I’m doing long term damage to my skin both cosmetically and health-wise. I hope that moderate sun exposure with the use of a good sunscreen will allow me to find a good balance – a decent tan (considering my natural state of pale starting point), a nicely tan line framed bottom, and lower risks of skin damage provided I continue to use a good sunscreen and watch how long I spend in the sun.
So my question for you is, strictly from a cosmetical appeal, do you like tan lines or do you prefer the bottom not be outlined at all?
Personally, in the summer I like moderate tan lines. I want to keep my bottom nice and pale so that the red glow of a spanking still shines easily, but I like to have a little color to the rest of my skin for a nice summer sun kissed look. I’m not aiming for anything super deep dark, but I think a nice warm tone to my skin and a pale bottom showing that I’ve enjoyed a bit of bikini time looks good.

I just started reading your blog and I am so impressed. I knew your face from your work with punishedbrats.com (big fan, btw), but it is a real pleasure to get more insight into your world. I understand (from reading your blog) that you are a connoisseur of all things schoolgirl and that makes perfect sense, because I most definitely noticed the attention to detail in your outfits for the website. It’s the little touches like that which make all the difference for me as a viewer. You are a true artist.
Now, as to your question, I am in 100% aggreement with you. With your type of skin – a nice white creamy complection – tanning over it just covers up the beauty of a rosy bottom. I do think that tanlines can be sexy in the summertime, but only in season. I don’t care for tanning-bed look at all.

I like the lines because they give a heightened awareness to the viewer of the movement of and of curvature of the bottom as it wriggles around. (Note, any mark on the bottom will also have this delightful effect too).

That Coppertone ad whick had a dog nipping on the bikini bottom of a swimsuit revealing tan lines of a little girl was cute. Parody magazines have replicated the same scene with big girls.
I always wanted to see a freshly spanked bottom on that girl whose bikini bottoms dropped. How embarassing!
I’m with you, Pixie, moderation in things is the best way to go.

Nice pics as always, sweetie. I wish we could get an updated shot of the classic Coppertone ad with you and that pup. You’d be 100% perfect for it.
In general, though, tan lines and outlines for the bottom don’t do anything for me personally. I love unveiling a milky white bottom as much as the next spanker (eager to start turning it a glowing shade of red), but I don’t get any particular thrill from tan lines.
I can certainly understand your concerns about skin cancer, etc. Myself, I come in only two colors, albino white and apache red with no middle ground for tanning. You can coat my whole body in SPF 60 and I’ll still cook.
Still, I commend you wanting to please the employer and fans by lying out in the sun. Just please be careful. Wouldn’t want anything cooking your lovely bod. (HUGS)

If there’s suntanning going on, Pixie, I’d prefer the bottom to be spared for the sake of a more visually satisfying reddening. As a for instance, Juliet is so evenly bronzed all over that seeing her bared and spanked is less enjoyable for that reason alone. The visual element of spanking punishment leading to a nice rosy red bum is missing.
I’m happier when I get to see the spanking’s effects. Otherwise, it’s just another bare-bottomed girl over someone’s knee.

Personally, I’m not a big fan of tanlines. For some reason, tanlines kind of connect to sexual activities for me. Maybe it’s because of a spanking video I once saw where the girl had tanlines, and that spanking movie turned out to be more of a pornographic movie. That was a major disappointment. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the sun, and goodluck with Dallas!

I don’t like tan lines at all. I have a dear friend not even thirty just diagnosed with skin cancer. So I love naturally pale and creamy skin. Just like yours Pixie(:

Bruce – I’ll always keep my bottom pale. 1 – because as you mentioned, I want to make sure maximum redness can be achieved and 2 – even though my friend’s yard offers more privacy than the courtyard of my apartment complex, I’m sure the neighbors would have something to say if I went out stark naked.

Looks like the opinions on tan lines versus no tan lines are pretty evenly split! But pretty much across the board it sounds as if we agree that a pale bottom is always a good thing.

first of all, i love your blog and what you do. i am interested in becoming a spanking model, and you are a hero of mine. second of all, although i am half hawaiian and have no problem getting a tan, i am also half white, so i am in danger of getting skin cancer. i didn’t care about that until my mom had a precancerous mole removed earlier in the year. to achieve a great looking fake tan, so i recommend using a really great self tanner like victoria’s secret bare bronze foam (it’s a little pricy, but it’s amazing) or dove energy glow. hope this helps!

I like tan lines the way Dallas does. I haven’t read all the comments, but I know there’s a really great spray-tan place around here and I’m sure you have some in your area, too. We have a few types down here–the booth spray and the hand-applied tan. The first is cheap, easy, and super quick. The second is more expensive, but you end up with a perfectly applied tan. And, for both types, you can keep your bottoms on (wear an old suit or something) and get the perfect Dallas-worthy tan lines.

Ruby – There is a place not too far from me that does spray on tans. Do they give better color than the self-tanners from a bottle?
Poppa – I’m pretty sure that Dallas wouldn’t mind at all giving me a sample of one of your paddles whether I asked nicely or not. In fact, if I ask not so nicely, I bet he’d be all the more motivated!

Personally, I don’t care much for tan lines on myself, other than using them to note just how dark I’ve gotten! For spanking pics, I prefer the skin tone be even all around. Now, whether that’s achieved by tanning nude, or not at all, is a different matter.

I’m as big a fan of tan lines as Dallas is. I don’t know if you ever saw it, but there was (of course) a major discussion of tan lines vs. none on the old WSF. There was (as would be expected {grin}) not a complete consensus but Dallas provided some photos which would have moved me to the pro-tan line crowd if I hadn’t already been there.
I liked the pic of you in the pool with your bottoms down, but I think I like even more the one where you’re checking your tan progress. Lovely bottom in either case!

Ginger – Normally I’m not one to try to maximize my tan and at this point in the game, I’m pretty much giving up on the tanlines. The weather isn’t cooperating and I think I’ll just save my skin! Ummm … not sure who will save my butt though.
mark – thank you! I think you could see a little bit of progress in that pic, but I’m not sure how much there still is after the cloudy days we’ve had recently.
Poppa – I shoot with him on the 12th. I’m not sure how soon the scene might be up on his site as he might have a lot of other content ready to post before mine, but be on the lookout soon.
