The Easter Bunny sent me a nice basket of goodies. I guess he was a little busy this year and decided to mail the basket to me a little early instead of hopping over and hiding it tomorrow. I tried to be good and leave the display untouched until Sunday, but those chocolate mini eggs wouldn’t stop calling my name. Chocolate. Part of a complete breakfast.
Peanut couldn’t care less about the basket. She was all about the box it was sent in. She claims every box that comes in the house as her new spot. Peanut looks pretty wild-eyed in this picture. She must smell the Bunny.
I dyed eggs last night and have the multicolored fingers now to prove it. I had hoped to make some really cool designs using a kit that boasted you could make designs 5 different ways, but when I opened the kit, it wasn’t all that it was hyped up to be. Plus all of the colors that contained the red dye wouldn’t dissolve and my eggs came out uneven and speckled. 
Next year it’s back to tried and true Paas brand color.
I’m going to make some chocolate covered strawberries to bring over for Easter dinner tomorrow. Last year I made each strawberry look like a decorated Easter egg – each dipped and then hand decorated with designs, chicks, bunny faces, flowers, etc. By the time I was done, I couldn’t stand to look at another chocolate strawberry let alone eat one. So this year I’m keeping it simple – some dark chocolate, some white chocolate, and drizzled with pink candy melts. Not quite as artistic, but they’ll taste just as good.
